Sitting is difficult with my back issues so I have been unable to visit as much as I would like. I have been getting caught up on The Big Bang Theory. Why, I have I not watched this show before????
Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:
Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick
Leonard is celebrating his birthday in a scary and disturbing way. It is not good, and he tells us why he will be carrying out this plan as he introduces us to a cast of characters that have influenced his life both positively and negatively. A heartbreaking emotional book that is not an easy read, but will have you riveted to the pages. With this being Banned Book week, I would not be surprised to find this book on it in the future for it's subject matter.
Don't Go by Lisa Scottoline (audio)
Dr. Michael Scanlon is serving in Afghanistan as a surgeon. He is called home because of his wife's tragic death. Once home he finds he is a stranger to his baby, and that there is more to his wife's accidental death that leads him on a spiral that could have devistating consequences. Jeremy Davidson narrated.
Stranded by Dani Pettrey
Darcy St. James is asked by a friend and former investigavtive reporter partner to come aboard an Alaskan cruise ship undercover to help her as she is on to a big story. Darcy arrives to find her friend missing. She quickly learns all is not as the cruise line is reporting. Gage McKenna family is leading the adventure excursions and is the last person Darcy expected to see. Can they both forget their hurts and work together to figure out what has happened to Abby? Once the action begins, it does not let up until the end. Reading:
Fin and Lady by Cathleen Schine
Up Next:
One Grave At A Time by Jeaniene Frost
Protector by Diana Palmer
Six Years by Harlan Coben

oh no, darn back :(
One Grave At a Time and Six Years are on my TBR stack, enjoy and sure hope your back troubles end soon.
Don't Go appeals I must go looking it up. Have heard others saying Jeanine Frost is a favourite of theirs when it comes to paranormal, although I am reading a lot in that genre at the moment, but I am going to keep her in mind.
:/ Get better
The Big Bang Theory is one of my favorite shows. I read Six Years and enjoyed it. I hope you do too. I hope you feel better soon.
Back pain is the worst, feel better soon.
I really want to read a Harlan C book. I am really starting to feel behind even with authors I want to read.
Oh, I hope your back gets better! I can relate....
What lovely books you have...a new Cathleen Schine! How exciting.
And I enjoyed Don't Go.
I'm now very curious about Forgive me Leonard Peacock.
Have a great week...and here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES
So sorry to hear about your back troubles. And don't feel alone...we just discovered Big Bang this summer!
Hope your back is feeling better soon, back pain is no fun. I've never seen Big bang Theory either but heard its really good. Six Years sounds like a good thriller...
Sorry to hear your back is giving you the business again, I just can't get into the Big Bang Theory, but glad you are enjoying it. (I think being the mother of boys, taints your choices in viewing) I don't even think I can go to the movies with my friends, 'cause I want to see XMen, and they want to see Chick Flicks, very wierd. You've had a good reading week, try to rest.
I really want to read Leonard Peacock!
I read Six Years and Don't Go, hope you enjoy them both. I don't watch much tv so never saw Big Bang Theory, but glad you like it. Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock makes me curious. Will wait for your review.
Hope the back gets better soon-- I know how bad that can be :(
THANK YOU for stopping by my blog earlier.
I am glad my reviews helped you decide to read Burial Rites and The Wedding Gift.
