After loving the Alaskan Courage series I knew her next series would be on my TBR list!. We are introduced to a new set of interesting characters - all friends for a long time. This first book introduces the characters and focuses on Griffin and Finley. Griffin likes his solitary job as a park ranger, it helps to keep the past where he wants it. When Finley starts spending time in the park on a dig, his heart begins to thaw. When a body is uncovered and determined to be recent his solitary life is a thing of the past, especially when his friends show up to help.  Once the identity of the body is determined the suspense picks up with many trying to keep everything buried.  Griffin and Finley's romance, while a part of the story, did not overtake it. There are hints to what the other characters will be dealing with in future books.  A clean read with some faith elements. A great start to this new series.

A wonderful happily ever after story.  I love how often we read a book at the exact time when we need the message of the story. What Stephen was dealing with in this book really spoke to me and I gained needed insight . Corina and Stephen are very likable, relateable characters that work to give back for the much that they've been given. Both are suffering a great loss, but each dealing with that loss in different ways.  Corina decides to run towards healing and forgiveness while Stephen is choosing to run away. What will it take to get him to run the other way? A delightful read.

It is great when an author tells such a great story that it has me wanting to learn more about the subject of their story. In this case it is the Library of Congress. As a woman Anna has to be careful of her reputation as any impropriety could be the end of her job at the Library of Congress. It has not been too long that women have been allowed to hold such a position with the Library. This is no problem for her as she prefers to stay out of any limelight and keep to herself. She meets Luke when he loses his position on a Committee and is forced into another "lesser" committee. Luke is immediately intrigued by Anna and is more than happy to help her out with her determination to find out what really happened to her father's ship fifteen years ago. They are drawn to each other, but Anna fights it because of her fears.  Both of them have lived through difficult childhoods that are heartbreaking, but instilled in them strong desires for their future. I love how both characters helped each other with their weaknesses and ended up being a great fit.  The secondary characters were just a rich and added another layer to the story.  I recommend this book to those who love historical fiction.

When the discovery is ruled a murder they work together to figure out what happened and why. The action and suspense is written very well without explicit details. The McKenna family is close and in their tight knit community each one is involved in solving the mystery of the incidents directed towards Kayden and Jake that are no accidents.  The series concludes with Reef's story in Sabotaged.

Both characters are  easy to relate to and it was not hard to love them both. Of course, since this is a fairy tale, things do work out in the end, but it was a bumpy, emotional and enjoyable ride.

Something sinister is going on, and the deeper they dig, the more Gage fears they’ve only discovered the tip of the iceberg.

The first two books in this series, Submerged and Shattered were page turning delights. I was looking forward to Darcy and Gage's story in this third installment. The suspense and investigation of Darcy's missing friend overshadowed their romance and I was a bit disappointed. The action and adventure was non-stop and well written - it kept me glued to the pages to find out what happened to Abby.  I found myself more interested in Kayden and Jake and hope they get their own story.

Book three in the series picks up with more action and adventure as Alex and Gabriel, now married, race to find her parents before others with evil motives find them and the treasure they are seeking. Twists and turns are aplenty in this novel, and just when you think there is no way out, a surprise turn of events happen. Alex's parents, Katherine and Ian, are prominent in this novel and I enjoyed learning more about them as individuals. Gabriel's afflictions beautifully depict how hard it is to trust God no matter what, it is easy to identify with his struggles in this area. Loved the historical aspects of the novel as well. I wished for more of a resolution between Alex and her parents but overall enjoyed this book. While this is part of a trilogy, it does stand alone well, but is best read with the first two books (The Guardian Duke, The Forgiven Duke).

Siri's books always give me a great story as well as teaching me something new and interesting. In this case, it is candy making. Lucy is at first is difficult to like, she comes across as selfish and spoiled, but as the story progresses we understand her and are more understanding. Charlie is easy to like, it was humerous at times to watch him go from a street kid to a gentlemen's son. He wanted to rise above his past and become a better person.  I liked that the story is told in alternating chapters of Lucy and Charlie's POV. It allows for a broader view of both sides of the story. 

Siri Mitchell is the author of nearly a dozen novels, among them the critically acclaimed Christy Award finalists "Chateau of Echoes" and "The Cubicle Next Door". A graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in business, she has worked in many different levels of government. As military spouse, she has lived in places as varied as Tokyo and Paris. Shattered

This is book two in the Alaskan Courage series, but stands alone well. After enjoying the first book (the author's debut), I looked forward to this story. The author almost lost me near the beginning using a plot device I detest: Boy likes/loves girl A, but there is girl B who loves/wants boy. Girl B gets herself in compromising position with boy and girl A shows up, sees and misinterprets. Thankfully, it did not overshadow the mystery and the story moved on without anymore from Girl B! The author kept me guessing as the suspense built with each twist and turn.  I liked getting to know this family better and look forward to the next installment.

She feels blessed to write inspirational romantic suspense because it incorporates so many things she loves–the thrill of adventure, nail biting suspense, the deepening of her characters’ faith, and plenty of romance. I loved Ellie's story and the history of this wonderful town in Alaska. Ellie's story is told in the form of letters that Ethel gives to Ginny. I connected more to the past story than the present, but still was moved by Ginny's journey to wholeness .

Each book Julie writes gets better and better! Her love of Austen and Bronte shine brightly and makes for a thoroughly enjoyable read.  I loved the family secrets, ghostly happenings in the middle of the night, the wondering who the culprit could be as well as the setting of Cornwall, the mystery and intrigue it added to the story.   The rich cast of characters are easy to like and it was exciting to see many of them change and grow.  The storyline with Adam is very touching.
