Charley Davidson Blog Tour - Summoned to Thirteenth Grave

Charley Davidson, Grim Reaper extraordinaire, is pissed. She’s been kicked off the earthly plane for eternity—which is exactly the amount of time it takes to make a person stark, raving mad. But someone’s looking out for her, and she’s allowed to return after a mere hundred years in exile. Is it too much to hope for that not much has changed? Apparently it is. Bummer.

She’s missed her daughter. She’s missed Reyes. She’s missed Cookie and Garrett and Uncle Bob. Now that she’s back on earth, it’s time to put to rest burning questions that need answers. What happened to her mother? How did she really die? Who killed her? And are cupcakes or coffee the best medicine for a broken heart? It all comes to a head in an epic showdown between good and evil in this final smart and hilarious novel.

Charley made a decision in the last novel that opened up a portal and allowed the Shades to arrive.  They are slowly taking over Albuquerque and if they don't figure out how to close it, all is lost. Charley has a few clues that she and Reyes have to quickly unravel. Meanwhile she also has to come up with a way to keep their daughter Beep safe until it is her time. Fast paced with signature snark makes this last novel in the series thoroughly enjoyable. Here's hoping that a spin-off series is in the making.

Where It All Began:
First Grave On The Right

·         The concept for First Grave came about while Darynda was working as a sign language interpreter in her hometown. She stole many of the names from students at the schools where she worked, including Reyes, Garrett, and Amber. As far as Darynda knows, they have all forgiven her for her thievery.

This debut novel introduces Charley Davidson, private investigator and grim reaper. She not only sees dead people, they help her solve cases before they cross over.  Charley knew from an early age that she had something different. She kept it quiet growing up because it freaked too many people out. She has been having some crazy dreams and is trying to figure them out. Who he is a major part of the story. Great secondary characters, lots of humor and snark make this a great beginning to this series. Loved it the second time around.

The Christmas Wishing Tree + Giveaway

Sometimes life’s most magical journeys bring you back to where it all began…From USA Today bestselling author Emily March comes The Christmas Wishing Tree, an enchanting account of the magic and miracle of Christmas.

A man who loves adventure and the open sea, Devin Murphy returns for a short Christmas trip to his small hometown of Eternity Springs. Immersed in the joy and magic of the holiday season all around him, he doesn’t hesitate to play along when a young boy phones Santa to ask for a very special wish. Devin never guesses that a wrong number has the potential to make everything in his life so right.

Jenna Stockton adopted Reilly when he needed a mother and she intends to keep him safe. A small town across the country called Eternity Springs seems like a good place to hide from their past without any complications —until sexy Santa himself discovers her secrets. When Devin proposes a daring plan to face down the danger together and defeat it once and for all, she is tempted. Maybe Devin really is capable of making wishes come true? Perhaps in a Christmas wish they’ll both find the miracle they’ve been looking for all along…

A delightful Christmas novel in the New York Times bestselling Eternity Springs series.

Ten year old Reilly's calls Santa to ask for a daddy.  Devin answers the call on his borrowed phone and plays along. Reilly's mom Jean is a busy doctor with no idea these calls are happening.  When Reilly and Jean visit Eternity Springs they discover the magic of this enchanting town. A wonderful small town story of finding new beginnings where they are least expected.  Great choice for seasonal reading.

The Heart of Fire + Giveaway

Heart on Fire by Amanda Bouchet
The Kingmaker Chronicles, #3
Publication date: January 2, 2018

The riveting conclusion to The Kingmaker Chronicles!

GODS. I’M AN IDIOT.
Without Griffin—and apparently a few meddling Gods—to push me along, I’d still be telling fortunes at the circus, lying about my past, ignoring my future, and living as far away from my tyrant mother as humanly possible.

True understanding thuds into place. Hope isn’t just an abstract concept; it’s me. Flesh and blood me. Griffin knew it all along. Probably everyone did. I’m an idea in human form.

I have the power of the Gods at my fingertips.
The only thing ever stopping me has been me.

Conclusion was very satisfying. There were a couple of outcomes that I wanted differently, but loved the emotion of the final showdown.

USA Today bestselling author AMANDA BOUCHET grew up in New England and studied French at the undergraduate and graduate levels, first at Bowdoin College and then at Bowling Green State University. Always Red Spotlight + Giveaway

The highly anticipated and epic conclusion to the Chasing Red duology

"Red," Caleb whispered. "Do you know how I felt when you left me?"

I looked into his eyes. The emotion I saw in them, the intensity, and the tenderness filled up my throat.

"I felt ruined. Because, Red, every time you break me apart, you put me back together. And I always come out better than before."

"So," he cupped my face, stroking my cheek with his thumb. "Ruin me."

Always Red picked up right where Chasing Red left off with Red/Veronica realizing she made a huge mistake and doing what it takes to make it right with plenty of drama some of which bordered on obsessive/possessive.  Even though the conclusion was what I expected it was a bit of a train wreck getting there - some of which was a bit over the top.

Chasing Red Duology:
Chasing Red (Book 1)
Always Red (Book 2)

Sourcebooks is generously giving away a print copy of the first book Chasing Red to one US reader.  Please enter to win by commenting and one random winner will be chosen on November 24th.

The book will be shipped from the publisher shortly after the winner is chosen.
