#FitReaders: Weekly Check In

Geeky Bloggers Book Blog

#FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

The time sure gets away from me.  It has been a month since I've checked-in.  The last few weeks I have not hit my daily goal, but the weekly goal is over or close. Last week was terrible due to back issues.   The pool class is a blessing to go to because my back doesn't hurt while I am in water!

Week of 6/14 - 38,846 steps of 35,000  - over goal
Week of 6/21  - 34,362/35,000  - under goal
Week of 6/28 - 84,937/35,000 - way over goal!

Last Week:
Sunday - 7619
Monday - 4798 + pool class
Tuesday - 2967
Wednesday - 4178 + pool class
Thursday - 2342
Friday - 3418 + pool class

I've been listening to Thing You Won't Say by Sarah Pekkanen narrated by Cassandra Campbell when I have been able to get out and walk.

Hopefully this week my back will settle down and I can once again get more steps daily!

Fitreaders Check-In

Geeky Bloggers Book Blog

#FitReaders: Weekly Check
#FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

This last week went pretty well.  I hit my target every day but Sunday. I finished listening to Written in My Own Heart's Blood by Diana Gabaldon and began Hit by Delilah Dawson

Sat the 6th - 8043
Sun the 7th - 3243
Mon the 8th - forgot to wake it up but did pool exercise
Tue the 9th 9802
Wed the 10th 5802 + pool class
Thur the 11th 5366
Fri the 12th 7633
Sat the 13th 6225

I thought for sure I'd have more steps on the 13th because we walked all over the zoo.  The new tiger sanctuary was awesome.  Cole was a bit apprehensive at first, but then was excited every time the tiger got close.  They are beautiful animals.

How was your week?

FitReaders Check In

Geeky Bloggers Book Blog

#FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

After a rough winter of flare-ups I turned my fitbit off so as not to feel bad for the reduced activity, this is the first week of turning it back on!  I did fairly well and hope to continue to increase the activity.

Tuesday - 4436
Wednesday - 4129 plus pool class
Thursday - 6861 walk DVD
Friday - 5757 plus pool class
Saturday - 10.009 walk outside

I was very surprised to hit 10,000 steps today.  I couldn't figure out why my Fitbit was vibrating.  LOL.  Listening to Becoming Rain by K.A. Tucker on audio.

How did your week turn out?

#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in January 9, 2011
#FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About.

Getting back to a more consistent exercise routine went well this week. I am amazed at what it takes to get to 5000+ steps daily. I am taking it slow in order for my body not to react with a flare-up.

Jan 3. - Tai Chi, Standing Pilates, Stretch
Jan 4. - Rest
Jan 5 - Pool Class
Jan 6 - #Fitin15, Tai Chi
Jan 7 - Pool Class
Jan 8- 3,500 steps
Jan 9 - #Fitin15, Walk Fit, Tai Chi

How did your week go?

FitReaders January Goals

Geeky Bloggers Book Blog

#FitReaders: Weekly Check-in.  #FitReaders is  hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog  and That’s What I’m Talking About. I've joined this group of readers committed to setting and meeting health related goals in 2015.  Ever since my back problems in the fall of 2013 and a fibro flare up in 2014, my fitness has suffered greatly.  I am determined to take control and get back into a regular schedule of exercise.  I've joined this challenge to help keep me accountable.

My goals for January are to participate in some form of exercise 5 days a week.   I plan to post on Saturdays either weekly or bi-weekly.

January 1 - 5000 steps
January 2 - pool class
January 3 - Tai Chi

Do you have any health related goals for 2015?
