Hello Stranger by Lisa Kleypas (audio) #4
Dr. Garrett Gibson is the only female doctor in England She has sacrificed a lot to accomplish this goal and will continue to walk her own path. When walking home from seeing a patient she is accosted by three men and has complete confidence she can handle herself. Ethan, a former cop and now spy comes to her rescue, which she, of course, humorously tries to deny. When he shows her a better way to defend herself, she reluctantly allows him to give her further lessons. Their acquaintance pulls her into his intrigue that offers romance, suspense and plenty of fun banter. Mary Jane Wells made this book that much better with her wonderful narration. Looking forward to West's story.

Four siblings growing up in New York visit the local fortune teller whose specialty is telling the day of death. Daniel, Varya, Klara and Simon's stories are told individually spanning from the 1980's to the present. I really enjoyed Simon's story, but had a hard time sticking with Klara and Daniel's. Varya's was up and down. Overall, I am glad to have read the book, but definitely not a favorite.

The last book in the Black Knights, Inc. series starts off with a bang and never lets up. This is Angel's story. Angel has a mysterious past and accepts a mission to take down their nemesis Spider. Sonya a former Interpol agent is working for Spider and Angel will need to get her out safely if she is being held against her will. What is it about Angel that is so familiar to Sonya? Investigative reporter Ellie needs a great story and she knows equality between men and women in the workplace will be a great subject. She asks to go "undercover" at her brother's company because no one is talking to her honestly. Her brother's partner Jack is down a broker and since Ellie has experience he agrees to her plan. She is getting great material, but it could threaten the company. What they both don't take into consideration is working so closely with each other will cause a different kind of complication! Narrated by the awesome duo of Andi Arndt and Sebastian York.

It was a beautiful Memorial Day weekend - warm and sunny. We got the pool opened, the hot tub emptied and cleaned and the flowers planted! Now time to enjoy a cook out with all our summer favorite foods. It made all the updated privacy policy notifications I've received not so bad. LOL

Is the weather awesome or what? Although it was about 20 degrees cooler at the lakeshore today than it was here. We had 90's here at the house. Happy Memorial Day- enjoy your cook out!!
Enjoy your time with family and cookouts, Nise'! Our weather has suddenly turned to definite summer. After a cool spring, we're supposed to have temps over almost 105 by next weekend. Way to warm for early June and it's way too humid yet for those. August would be OK for them.
Those privacy notice things have been a pain, haven't they? We've had nothing but rain, rain, rain. I think I'll skip The Immortalists.
I liked the Immortalists more than you did, but it still wasn't a favorite. We did the summer preps too ... not much reading going on but so glad to have the deck and porch ready for summer.
Like A Boss sounds interesting, but I wouldn't have picked it up because of the cover. It suggests a different kind of read. LOL
I loved Look for Me. I'm glad you had such a great weekend. Cookouts are the best!
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Nice variety of books. Our weather has been pretty good this weekend too. A line of thunderstorms ran through after 11 last night which was perfect timing. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Glad you're prepping your home for fun Summer times ahead!
I'd like to read Hello Stranger sometime soon. I did read Look For Me, and enjoyed it, as I do all of Lisa Gardner's books.
Sounds like a great weekend! It's been rainy here all day. But that's ok, it's quiet and restful. You have a great book haul! They are things I've read or my friends have read or I want to read. Anne - Books of My Heart
It's hot here but we have the smoker going. My weekly update
