Tuesday Intro/Teaser

First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros is a weekly meme introduced by Diane at Bibliophile by the Sea  and now hosted by Vicki of I'd Rather Be At The Beach every Tuesday. To participate share the opening paragraph or two of a book you've decided to read based on that paragraph. Please feel free to join in, First Chapter~First Paragraph~Tuesday Intros.

Are you sure we should have come?" Nora whispered to her sister. "I feel like everyone is staring at us." Liberty briefly considered telling her that perhaps the sky-high black patent-leather heels she was wearing, flashing their gaudy red soles as she walked, paired with her tight black dress and a pillbox hat with a veil - honestly, she looked like a 1940s mob widow - were not helping her be inconspicuous at the mid-western service

She Regrets Nothing by Andrea Dunlop
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Ambrosia of The Purple Booker

"Excuse me?" "I don't mean to be rude.: Laila said hesitantly, "but who are you? This is my mother's funeral."

I like the sound of the bits you shared. You could vividly picture the 'mob widow' look. LOL

Yeah, I can see why she would stand out. Especially at what sounds like a church service or funeral? LOL This sounds fun.

Great visual in that beginning. This sounds fascinating. I wonder why they are at the funeral. This week I have Willnot by James Sallis. Happy reading!

I actually read two different reviews of this book. They both really liked the book. I hope you enjoy it too.
