First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros is a weekly meme hosted by Diane at Bibliophile by the Sea every Tuesday. To participate share the opening paragraph or two of a book you've decided to read based on that paragraph. Please feel free to join in, First Chapter~First Paragraph~Tuesday Intros.
As I sit here with one foot on either side of the ledge, looking down from twelve stories above the streets of Boston, I can’t help but think about suicide. Not my own. I like my life enough to want to see it through.

The two times I've spent with Rylie were on days I'd probably rather forget. My father's funeral and spraining my ankle. But somehow, him being present made them feel like less of the disasters they were.

I loved this book! It was my favorite by this author...so far.
Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog. Enjoy!
Pretty cover and and intro and Boston setting that would appeal to me. I'd read more.
That beginning is scary to me! I'd never be on a ledge 12 stories up - well, not unless there was a window or barrier - no, not even then. LOL
Somehow these topics keep coming up over and over for me this year. If it's not too sad, I'd probably keep reading. Here's the link to my FCFP & TT for this week: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-1v4
:) The first one sounds like a good first paragraph for a novel. I'd certainly read on.
Wow, what an opening! I haven't read anything by this author, but the opening makes me want to read more!
I like the teaser best. It sounds like a sweet romance - not that I couldn't tell from the cover with all those gorgeous flowers. Enjoy.
I like that teaser. Haven't we all thought about suicide? Like her, I don't mean my own though. Can't go wrong with this author!
My TT from House Of Seven Days
Why is that character on a ledge if he/she isn't committing suicide? I'm definitely curious.
My Tuesday post features A Thread of Truth.
You will love this book. Keep reading! I think this is some of Hoover's best work to date.
Sounds like a good book.
