Spent most of the week managing back pain. Looks like this flare-up will last a bit longer than expected. I did get a couple of books finished.
Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:
This Side of the Grave by Jeaniene Frost
Cat has some new unexplained powers. Could they be the start of a huge war? I enjoyed finding out and am sad that there are only two books left in the series.
The Passion of the Purple Plumeria by Lauren Willig
When the Pink Carnation’s little sister goes missing from her English boarding school along with a friend, Gwen returns home to investigate the girl’s disappearance. She is joined by the father of the other missing girl. Sparks fly in this 10th book of the series.
The Last Original Wife by Dorothea Benton Frank
Leslie Anne Greene Carter is The Last Original Wife among her husband Wesley's
wildly successful, Atlanta social set. His cronies have all traded in the
mothers of their children they promised to love and cherish—'til death did them
part—for tanned and toned young Barbie brides.
Robin Miles did a great job narrating Les and Wes tell the story.

*Sigh* I'm with you, 2 books to go. Hope to finish off the series before the end of the year but I'll be sad to say goodbye to Cat & Bones.
Sorry you're still having problems with your back, but happy reading :)
I hope that you will have a great reading week!
I noticed just last night my library has some Jeaniene Frost audiobooks. I always hear good things about her books.
I really liked The Last Original Wife - I thought it was a lot of fun!
I loved The Last Original Wife. Hope your back problems go away...I can relate. I've struggled on and off for years.
Thanks for visiting my blog, and enjoy your reading.
Passion of the Purple Plumeria reminds me of the mystery books I used to read in boarding school. Looks like a winner!
I feel your pain--literally-- with your back. It's a bummer...how much it interferes with life. On the bright note, good books! I love the Linda Castillo series and that is the only one I have yet to read. Good luck with the back and enjoy what reading you can get to.
Isn't it great when you find a series you can really enjoy? I hope you enjoy this week's reading stack. :-)
I hope you get on top of the pain quickly.
Have a great reading week,
