Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:

Lie Still by Julia Heaberlin
Emily and Mike move to Texas from New York. They are looking forward to a new baby and new start, especially Emily who has a past full of secrets. Emily meets a group of local women her over. Right away she has reservations about this group. The leader of the group turns up missing and this go from bad to worse. A page turner of secrets, lies and betrayals that kept me guessing.
Death of the Demon by Anne Holt
Hanne Wilhelmsen, recently promoted to chief inspector of the Oslo police, is having a hard time not being an on the spot investigator. She wanted the promotion, but is an investigator at heart. Agnes Vestavik, the direct of a foster care home, is the victim. The same evening a new resident, Olav, a 12 year old troubled boy disappears. How are they connected? As Hanne and Billy T work to solve the case, Olav and his mom's story is told. I love how the investigation reveals little clues and a few twists.
The Fire Witness by Lars Kepler
Detective Inspector Joona Linna is on administrative leave when he is called to observe a murder investigation. At the home for troubled girls two victims are found. Both brutally murdered. Another of the girls is missing. Under her bed damaging evidence is found. Joona doggedly pursues the truth uncovering it layer by layer. This series just gets better and better. We are given more of Joona's past in this installment and the ending left me wanting more!
The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen
This is the last summer before college for Emaline. Things have been weighing on her mind and she begins to wonder if her plans are really what she wants. A realistic look at life after high school and before college. Relationships (family and friends) are at the heart of this novel. Sarah does YA exceptionally well.

Oo I love Highlanders as well. Lol. ;) I will have to check To Wed A Wicked Highlander out! My friend and I always wonder if we could find a laird if we visited Scotland.
I hope you enjoy The Interestings as much as I did.

Looks like a good week. I am looking forward to your thoughts on Don't Want To Miss Anything. I have been meaning to read a Jill Mansell book for a long while.
What I'm Reading...
All sound great reads. I love highlanders too, must check out that book!
Oh cool you have a Mansell to read :)
I really like Sarah Dessen, but it's been a while since I read one. Most of the other books you read are new to me, Lie Still sounds pretty good.
Have a great week, happy reading and make the most of the last week of holidays :)
Wow, so many books. And they all seem really good. It's especially fun for me to see that you've read a book from a Norwegian author. Anne Holt is a well known writer and "Death of the Demon" is one of my favorites!! All the best from Anette (in Norway)
Now that's a great reading week!
Here's my It's Monday!
Interesting week...ENJOY!!
I like the looks of THE FIRE WITNESS.
