What Are You Reading?

Sheila at Book Journey hosts this weekly event where we celebrate what we are reading for the week as well as books completed the previous week.

This has been an exceptional week of reading for me.  I feel like my old self again.  We had beautiful weather here all week that helped as well as choosing to nothing but read all week!

Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:

Love At Any Cost by Julie Lessman

Cassidy, a tomboy from Texas comes to her San Francisco cousin's home to mend her broken heart after being jilted and runs head first into another fortune hunter, Jamie. Can she stop herself from falling? Julie is one of my go to authors. She can get me to laugh, cry, smile and grit my teeth all the while falling in love with the characters.  I look forward to this new series.

Third Grave Dead Ahead by Darynda Jones

Charley 's client has hired her to look for his missing wife.  But what he doesn't know is that she can sense his guilt and takes the case in order to find the wife.  Meanwhile, she is dealing with Reyes and his anger as her.  Another fun, fast, laugh out loud installment in this series.

The Shadow Woman by Linda Howard

It starts out as a normal day for Lizette, her morning routine going as it does every day until she looks in the mirror and wonders who is looking back at her.  She is immediately hit with a headache and nausea that continues whenever she tries to remember.  The story kept me turning the pages to find out what happened.

Destined For An Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost

Cat Crawford's dreams have the power to send her to a dangerous enemy.  Bones will stop at nothing to keep her out of this enemy's hands, only to see Cat walk right into them.  Book 4 in the night huntress series was wicked good.  A page turning, thriller that kept me guessing .  Only three more to go.

Once Upon A Prince by Rachel Hauck

Susanna has waited 12 years and expects a proposal, but hears, "I found the right ring, but not the right girl". Prince Nate is on holiday in Georgia and stops to help a young woman change her tire. Neither is looking for love, but find each other. A feel good, fairy tale, enjoyable story.

Yay - glad you're back to your old self :-) I can relate, since I haven't had much time for reading lately, but finally things are looking up! Hope you have a great week.

I love Jeanine Frost, and I really want to start Darynda Jones' books as well.

I love your blog header and the water background - it's very peaceful. I want to just stay here for the rest of the evening now :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier, Nise. Have a great day and happy reading.
