What Are You Reading?

Sheila at Book Journey hosts this weekly event where we celebrate what we are reading for the week as well as books completed the previous week.

Books Read Last Week:

Nadia Knows Best by Jill Mansell (5/3)
The Affair by Lee Child
A thoroughly enjoyable Reacher installment. We go back to the events that precipitated Reacher leaving the Army and going it alone. A fast paced thriller.
3 Bears
The Odds by Stewart O'Nan
This short novel packs an emotional wallop. Marion and Art are easy to relate to with their feelings and their long marriage. I liked the 'Odds' at the beginning of each chapter .
3 Bears
Finshed these audiobooks:
The Prey by Linda Howard (great reader for a so-so story)
The Garden Intrigue by Lauren Willig (poetry and intrigue, fantastic reader)
The Invisible Ones by Stef Penny (another fantastic reader, great mystery)

Up Next:
Need You Now by Beth Wiseman

I started reading Lauren Willig's Pink Carnation series last year. I've read the first one and have the next 5 on my bookshelf waiting to be read.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my blog. I'll let you know if I need more help with the audio to ipod thing. Thanks!

I listened to The Odd on audio and couldn't believe the ending!! It felt kind of abrupt and I was just like "WHAT??? Is that it? Isn't there more?" I didn't quite see that ending coming. I liked the odds at the beginning of the chapters too. It was almost like foreshadowing!

You know I love me some Reacher, so one day I'll get to that one! And I also want to read The Odds. Love stories about marriage.

The Odds draws me in every time! I adore the cover (and Niagara Falls), and the story sounds so heartbreaking and rich. Hope to get my hands on it.
