I found this wonderful glass fish in Seattle to display the beach glass.
I live close to Lake Michigan and have yet to find any glass along it's shore.

This is lovely Nise'! I bet you had a wonderful time in Washington. I love the Pacific Coast. So much prettier than our Gulf here.
I think glass you find around lakes are dangerous shards from some broken beer bottle left behind by thoughtless partiers. Sea glass found on the coast have been battered by the waves so that they aren't dangerous. You certainly have some large pieces though. The ones I find are usually very small...returning to sand.
The glass fish is a beautiful piece.
I've never seen any glass on the Lake Michigan shore either. I will have to look next time I'm near the beach.
Thanks Leslie.
You are so right Anne.
It is one of my favorite places to visit Kay. Glad to have a brother that lives there.
Many houses along the shoreline have glass in mesh bags and anchor them in order to season them by the tides. I thought I found the motherlode at first!!
Heh, what a cool fish! Perfect for displaying all that sea glass.
That fish is a great display piece!
That looks great! I've found a lot of shells but not any beach glass. It's been a while since I've been walking on the beach though. I should do that again sometime soon.
That glass fish is amazing. Great conversation piece.
What a fun idea! I've never found beach glass, but have read about it.
I love the fish for the sea glass. Never found any sea glass along the NJ coast but found a few pieces in Hawaii. Go figure :)
How pretty! And the coastline of the first picture is so blue-green. Nice.
What a clever & unique way to display your sea glass...Love the fish!
The house and it's location is amazing! I love the fish and the glass...whenever I go to the lake I'm always looking for cool stuff!
Happy memories in beautiful pictures.
:)
I love the Seattle area...it looks like you had a lot of fun. Great photo!
Thanks for visiting my blog, and enjoy your weekend.
The sea glass is so pretty. I love how you've displayed it. I want your glass fish!
Wonderful finds, love your display.
Occasionally I've found pretty glass pieces along our beaches but never thought to display them like this. Your glass fish is lovely.
My sister has a glass fish too, I love it. I think putting shells and beach glass in it is a fabulous idea! (if you can find any) Book Savvy Babe
Love the fish. Beach glass can be so pretty.
Love the sea glass. I live on the other side of Lake Michigan and we used to find small pieces of sea glass. Not anymore. I see many people scouring the sand though.
What a perfect way to display your beach glass!
Are they common in some places? I remember someone mentioned galss balls are common on the beach.
I love how beautiful you've displayed it. I've never seen beach glass :(
I love your fish bowl. I've found sea glass (small pieces) on the Atlantic shore but I never found any on the Lakes either.
