What Are You Reading?

Sheila at Book Journey hosts this weekly event where we celebrate what we are reading for the week as well as books completed the previous week.

Last week was an unusual week in that I gave up on two books.  Wolf Hall - I really wanted to read this one but it was hard to get into, keep track of the characters and  I kept having to go back and re-read so I put it down.  The other book was Numbers, it did not grab my attention.  I hope to try both books again in the future.

The books that I read were:
Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl (just okay)
Tangled by Carolyn Mackler (hard to connect to)
Forget Her Nots by Amy Brecount White (originial and enchanting)
The Bride Collector by Ted Dekker (roller coaster thriller)
Indivisible (page turning mystery)

Up next to choose from:
The Killing Edge by Heather Graham
Beguiled by Deanne Gist
South of Broad by Pat Conroy
Fantasy In Death by J.D. Robb

I have heard good things about Forget Her Nots. Not familiar with the Bride Collector, but I love thrillers. Hope you have a great week.

I was a tad disappointed relative to the hype around Beautiful Creatures too. I think I may need to check out Forget Her Nots now :)

You know, some books are just like that. Life's too short to spend it trying to focus on books we don't love.

This week sounds good.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I usually read the big prize winners but right now Wolf Hall is looking intimidating. I'll wait until I'm in the mood for historical fiction-and a long book. South of Broad sounds like your best bet for the coming week. I loved The Water is Wide and want to read more of his work. I look forward to what you think of this one. Have a good week.

The Bride Collector looks like a good one for me and hubby. Is it part of a series or a stand alone?

HAVE A GREAT WEEK READING!!

I love JD Robb and Heather Graham though I haven't read either of those books. WOW you finished 5 last week, I am impressed!

You read great books Nise and I referred to The Bride Collector as a thrill ride as well! Wasn't that good?

I am nervous about Wolf Hall it is on my book shelf but you are not the only I heard that it can be a tough read. Lots of characters are a real downer for me because I have trouble keeping them straight.

Hope you enjoy this weeks reads :)

Ick--the problem with Wolf Hall is that once you put it down, you'll have to start all over again from what I hear. Some books you can pick up later and start from where you were at.

That's a bummer that Beautiful Creatures was just okay...I really enjoyed it. Wow...I have to get The Bride Collector...can't wait to jump on that roller coaster ride!

Enjoy your books for this week!

I've been wanting to read The Bride Collector and Beguiled. I'm glad you liked The Bride Collector. I've read some of Ted Dekker's other novels and he does write suspense very well.

Wolf Hall is on my TBR list but I may wait to read it till next year :)

I hope you enjoy your reading this week!
