Time again for 5 Minutes For Book's monthly "What's On Your Nightstand?" Winter is a great time to read all snuggled up with a favorite quilt, a favorite hot drink and a book or two!

I am looking forward to finishing the Twilight series, I'm half way through Breaking Dawn as of last night. There are a couple of "new to me" authors on my stack. It is always fun to discover new authors. As many of you know, I stack my books by due date, but it is very hard for me to keep my hands off the book almost at the bottom! I really want to start the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers after hearing so many rave about them!
My sons (21 & 17) have asked me to find another series to begin reading together. Any suggestions? We had a great time reading and discussing the Twilight books.

I haven't wanted to start the Twilight series yet even though everyone seems to love them! My 20 something yr old daughter is finishing up classes, read the first one and loves them! She bought the 2nd one this weekend and finished it in 48 hrs, now she's itching to find the next and know what happens.
Love the picture. I have Twilight on my bookshelf, but still have to get through a couple more books before I start that one.
That's a huge stack! Good luck! :) I've read books 1 & 2 of the Twilight series. I need to get back to finishing it, but I was waiting for the rush to go down so that I could get them from the library. :)
I just finished the first book in the Twilight Series and loved it. I didnt think I would. I am excited to move on to the next book :-)
Ooo! River Rising was fantastic! I'll be curious for your thoughts on that one.
A series for your 17 and 21 year old sons.....fun question. That's awesome that you still read along with them. I hope I end up that blessed!
Unfornutately not a single book is comign to mind right now. I'll be curious to hear what you decide!
Looks like an ambitious stack! Smart to stack them by due date. With the new automated check out at our library, the slips are always disappearing and there is no due date stamped in the book. Adds to the confusion!
I LOVED the Mark of the Lion series -- it really brought that time period to life in my mind.
What a great idea to stack by due dates!
The Mark of the Lion Series is one of my favorites. I wish that she would write another one in the series.
I have two daughters who are crazy about the Twilight series, but my oldest (an English major) has nothing good to say about it, so I hear some interesting discussions at our house. I've got too many other books on the TBR list to even think about starting it myself
Happy Thanksgiving!
