Weekly Reading Wrap Up

A Minute To Midnight by David Baldacci #2
While on her way back from visiting a serial killer in prison for information about her sister's disappearance year ago, FBI Agent Atlee Pine intercepts a call about an abduction.  She tracks down the kidnapper and rescues the girl, but gets in trouble for letting her anger get out of control .  She decides to use her forced time off in going back home to investigate the disappearance.  While there she gets pulled into some local killings that may or may not have anything to do with her investigation of what happened 30 years ago. Another great installment in this series.

Nevermore by Danika Dark (audio) #6
Raven is reunited with her father which has caused a rift in her relationship with Christian and has her wondering if she will be welcomed back to Keystone.  She finds out that her father is in financial trouble and is determined to help him get out.  There is a time limit that has everyone on the edge. Nicole Poole's narration is what keeps me listening to this series.

Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker (audio)
Piper works hard to be taken seriously working at the top in her father's real estate company.  She is hoping to take over as soon as her father retires. There is a co-worker that causes problems due to being passed over for promotion.  Kyle takes a new position as a security officer in Piper's building.  They have a history (teenagers as summer camp counselors) that is told in alternating chapters of then and now.  Piper is surprised at her feelings and wonders if there could be a second chance for them. A couple of twists that are a bit unbelievable, but over all a good story. Narrated by Devon Sorvari.

Tucker by Emily March #2
Tucker's life has taken a turn from what he planned.  As a result he returns to Redemption to spend some time with his cousins and in the outdoors. He meets local bridal shop owner Gillian and is very intrigued by her, but finds out she is engaged.  He comes up with a new business idea that has him in close proximity to Gillian.  When she calls off the marriage Tucker begins his slow wooing.  An enjoyable story of second chances.

I used to read Baldacci but have gotten away from him. I may need to correct that.
