Somehow I missed last week. A few days passed in a haze while I was fighting a cold. Feeling better now and back to reading! Winter is making a comeback with a snow storm, but can't complain as we have had more sun this last January than in years past.
The Third to Die by Allision Brennan #1
LAPD Undercover Det. Kara is on a forced vacation. While visiting in her home town she stumbles upon a murder victim. A mobile task force is assigned to the case when it is determined the victim belongs to a serial killer. The killer kills 3 victims, 3 days apart. A great beginning to a new series. Fast paced as the team knows their time to catch the killer is limited. Lots of characters to get to know, but did not distract from the story.
Long Road to Mercy by David Baldacci #1
Atlee Pine is a FBI agent assigned to a one agent office in a small town. When a donkey is found dead and the rider missing from a Grand Canyon tour Atlee sets out to investigate with the help of the locals. The further they get into the investigation the more confused they become. Atlee's backstory is just as interesting as the case. At age six her twin was abducted without a trace. She was seriously injured, left for dead; and has decided to pursue what really happened.
Where Winter Finds You by J.R. Ward #18
Shadow Trez has been mourning the loss of his beloved Selena. When a new waitress is hired, she looks so much like Selena that he is convinced she has returned to him. Therese is new to town, mourning for her own reasons. She can't figure out why she is immediately connects with Trez. Trez's family and friends are worried and fear he is sinking too far and fast. This installment in the BDB series is more character driven without the business of fighting for their King. A quick, okay read.
Desperate Creed by Alex Kava #5
Ryder and his dogs are called to help out in the aftermath of tornadoes. They are searching for survivors when the storms ramp up once again and find themselves in a race to save themselves as well as others. Meanwhile Hannah's friend, Francine, an advertising exec find herself caught up in a conspiracy that has her running for her life from Chicago to Florida for help. A fast paced page turner!

I am glad you're feeling better. So many people around here are sick, too.
Where Winter Finds You looks good. Nice cover, too.

Good that your cold has passed. Nasty thing. The J R Ward #18 sounds really okay, I don't mind the absence of fighting. Enjoy Tucker.
Glad you are feeling better!
Wishing you a great reading week
Happy you're feeling better. Looks like you read the perfect books for getting over a cold.
Hope the cold completely disappears this week. Not the outside cold but your body cold. Ha! You always have some good books to share. I want to try several of them.
Hope you didn't get too much snow over there. My kids were hoping for a snow day but they were sorely disappointed lol.
Hope you have a nice week. :)
We have so much snow all of a sudden! Lol. I'm glad to hear you are feeling better!

That Allison Brennan book sounds good. I have a couple by her on TBR mountain that I should pull out. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Our January was mild but, boy, is February making up for it. I haven't read a Baldacci in a while but have always enjoyed his books.
I am glad you are feeling better, Nise'. Looks like you read some good ones recently. I hope you are enjoying your current reads. I would like to read Tucker too. Have a great week!

Glad you're better. Gage is so sick right now. Luckily he has a 4 day weekend from school so hopefully we can get him well enough to go back on Tuesday.
