Dreams of Falling by Karen White
Lark left her hometown years ago after an event and vowed never to return. When her mother Ivy has an accident and ends up in the hospital she returns to her South Carolina home. While her mom is in a coma Lark uncovers long held secrets. Told in alternating chapters and between now and then (1950s) in the voices of Lark, Ivy and CeeCee. The past, hers and the women in her family, has a life changing impact on Lark. Southern fiction at it's finest.
Abandoned by Allison Brennan #5
Maxine's (Max) mother left her with her grandparents when she was nine. As the years went by she received a few postcards, but never saw her again. This event has impacted her in numerous ways and led her to becoming an investigative reporter. Now 16 years later a clue is uncovered that leads Max to Virginia and begin to really investigate her mother's disappearance. Her mother Martha's story is told as Max works in the present to figure it all out. A great installment in this series that introduces a couple new characters that will add to Max's life.

A busy week did not allow much time for reading or even exercising and I certainly feel it today! Looking forward to things slowing down and getting back to normal before Christmas arrives.

Enjoy your books. My weekly update
It was a busy week here too! Maybe this week will be a little calmer. Oh who am I kidding? Probably not haha!
Hope you're enjoying the holiday season.
I liked the Karen White book. Hope things calm down a bit for you. I think the week ahead is going to be very busy for me.
I know what you mean about looking forward to normal. I haven't had a lot of time to read either.
A nice selection and mix. The Brennan book especially caught my interest.
I loved Dreams of Falling. I read the heck out of her this year! Lol. She and Jenny Colgan have seemed to dominate my reading piles. :) I feel your pain about these busy weeks! I am hoping for a slow down before Christmas but I feel like it might not stop until January!
I hope you find some moments for yourself this week. :)
You must have been busy to have only finished 2 books! lol What would have been a good week for anyone else was a slow week for you. Dreams of Falling sounds excellent.
I need to pull Dreams of Falling out front on my Kindle...it has been there too long!
I had a better reading week than usual for me, and I also neglected some things that will now be on this week's list.
Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Abandoned sounds like my kind of book!
My list
I've read and enjoyed a few books by Brennan. That one sounds good. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
I have Dreams of Falling on my tbr pile still. I hope this week will settle down for you a bit especially before Christmas. It’ll be busy enough then.
I enjoyed Dreams of Falling. Abandoned looks good, as does The Ones You Fight.
Adding the Karen White to my list!
