Weekly Reading Wrap Up (SP/IMWAYR?)

Her Pretty Face by Robyn Harding (audio)
Francis and Daisy's narration are in the present time, DJ is "then".  Francis struggles where many women do and is surprised when the new to the school mom Kate befriends her. Both women have secrets in their past. Will they open up to each other? Daisy is Kate's fourteen year old daughter and is struggling to fit in at her new school.  She doesn't know if standing up for herself is worth it as she knows they will be moving in a couple of years as is the pattern of their lives.    DJ tells this story as a ten year old experiencing a horrific loss. How they all connect is tense, absorbing and thought provoking. Cassandra Campbell, Rebekkah Ross and Kirby Heyborne narrate the voices of Frances, Daisy and DJ.

It was a great listening week - having to get caught up at work before leaving (again) gave me plenty of time to listen!  No worries about trick or treat weather this year as I will be in a sunny/warm place!  Hope the weather cooperates in your area.

Glad you'll be somewhere warm for trick or treating. I don't think it's going to be too warm around here. :)

After feeling like winter last week, we are warming back up this week so it should be nice weather for Trick or Treating. My tiny town doesn't do door to door. Instead we gather on main street and do trunk or treat.

Glad to hear your thoughts on a couple of these I've been thinking about listening to. My husband has read that Baldacci series and the first book is the May selection for our mystery group next year. I'm looking forward to reading it.

Her Pretty Face and The Perfect Couple both sound right up my alley.

I've bought candy for Halloween but haven't even thought to check the weather forecast.

Listening can certainly boost up the book tally, I find I have to really like the book to make me listen every minute I have though.
