The Wedding From Hell by J.R. Ward (audio)
This audio contains three parts of prequel stories to the novel Consumed. Part one has the members of firehouse 499 preparing for the wedding of friend/colleague Moose. Anne is glad to be a member of the grooms attendants as it gets her out of the awful dress. Danny is ready to act on his attraction to Anne, but she worked too hard to be where she is on the job and doesn't want to jeopardize it with a relationship. Part two takes place at the wedding reception. There are a couple of hiccups, but the wedding takes place. Anne is fighting her attraction to Danny, but decides that a one night stand will help get it out of her system. Will it work? Part three is the first couple of chapters of Consumed and leaves you with a cliffhanger! Hilary Huber and Jason Carpenter narrated. Looking forward to the rest of the story.

Since she really needs time to rest, relax and work on her fears and phobias, she decides to leave in the next morning. A scream in the middle of the night changes everything. One of the friends has been murdered and she finds herself a suspect among the other who all have secrets. While Eden has to stay her back story is told and she discovers the truth behind her husband making the reservations. The investigation of the murder takes a few twists before the one is revealed.

Being on vacation at the beginning of September helped it pass by in a blink. I celebrated a birthday last week with family. Today the heat came on which is the first sign (besides changing leaves) that summer is gone and fall has arrived.

I read and enjoyed Smash Cut a while ago...and that reminds me that I have another Sandra Brown book on my shelves. (Mean Streak).
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
Yeah the furnace went on here too the other day lol. Definitely cooling off! And Under A Dark Sky sounds great- I love the Michigan setting!
Happy birthday!!
The plot of Under a Dark Sky sounds familiar - I think I've read something similar to it.
We're still running our air conditioner and sweating down here.
I haven't put the heat on yet, but we've pulled out the space heaters, just to take the chill off.
The Dark Sky book sounds good -- and it takes place in Michigan!
I loved the dark sky park book. Such an interesting setting. As to heat, well, certainly not yet. We've still got our A/C on. We don't really open the windows as the pollen and mold spores in our area are legend. Lots of allergies. We'll probably start using the heat in November maybe. Ha!
Our furnace has been on for a while. I'm looking forward to the brief fall warmup that we often have. I have some yard work to do and won't do it in the rain. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Under a Dark Sky looks good! Oh, and I love David Baldacci! I hope The Fallen is good.
My roundup!
Am looking forward to reading Consumed, I haven't read the prequels but just read your summary and I think that will keep me informed!
Under a Dark Sky sounds good. My weekly update
I'm repeating myself but I do wish we would have changing seasons. Its monotonous and boring to have only one!
It’s been getting cold here, too. I’m actually excited because I’m tired of feeling gross and sweaty. Happy October!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
I just discovered Sandra Brown this year. I loved Mean Streak on audio. I may have to find Smash Cut also. Anne - Books of My Heart
Ooo I will definitely add Under a Dark Sky to my list! I love books set in Michigan! :) And I can't believe it is already October!
Under a Dark Sky looks really good! I can understand how being on vacation can mess with your scheduling. We're going out of town for a week in October and it feels like I might as well just cross off the entire month when it comes to planning! Have a great week!
