Weekly Reading Wrap Up (SP/IMWAYR?)

Wicked and the Wallflower by Sarah MacLean (audio) #1
Felicity has become a wallflower after a small scandal.  She has been dropped by her friends and just wants back in the inner circle.  During a confrontation with those friends she tells them she has landed the Duke.  This lie will further send her family into ruination. While hiding out she encounters a stranger that promises to help her land the Duke.  Devon aka Devil is the Duke's brother.  Devil has a plan that involves Felicity, but as he gets to know her, that plan may fail.  Justine Eyre narrates this first book in a new series that gets off to a slow start, but picks up and doesn't let you go.

Beyond Control by Kat Martin #3
After breaking up with her abusive fiancee, Tori lives in fear of when he will find her and her daughter.  She applies for a job at Texas ranch.  Josh knows she isn't the right person for the job, but agrees to give her a week to prove she can do the job.  Tori impresses Josh and she keeps the job. When accidents begin to happen Tori is sure Damon has found her, but Josh thinks it is a former employee. Things go from bad to worse when Tori's best friend is kidnapped. A fast-paced action filled page turner.

Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier
Geo Shaw knew her past would eventually catch up with her.  As a teenager her best friend went missing. Fourteen years later her body was found almost in Geo's back yard.  Calvin, her teenage boyfriend, has been charged with two other murders and Geo testifies against him for a five year prison sentence. What really happened?  How does Geo survive life in prison and life after prison?  Twists and turns in this unputdownable book!

Keep Her Safe by K.A. Tucker (audio)
Did Jackie's secret lead to her death?  Her son Noah is determined to find out.  He is given the task of delivering a bag of money to Grace, the daughter of his mom's former partner. Grace's dad died a disgraced police officer.  Noah and Grace try to figure out what really happened to their parents. Told in the alternating voices of Noah and Grace with interjections of the past from Jackie and Abe.  Will Damron and Robin Eller did a good job with the voices of Noah and Grace. Wendy Tremont King and Roger Casey narrated the voices of Jackie and Abe.  While I had a major secret figured out the story was enjoyable.

I loved Wicked and the Wallflower and I wouldn't mind in the future rereading it by audiobook. I have the new Emily March to read as well but will most likely be next month.
