Look for Me by Lisa Gardner #9
A family has been murdered, the oldest daughter Roxy is missing with the family's dogs. D.D. Warren and her partner are on the case. They have to determine if she is in danger or if she perpetrated the crime Flora Dane, who has made it her mission to help girls/women learn how to feel safe, has information that can help. D.D. is reluctant to accept her help, but when an attempt is made on the life of another member of the family, she relents. Roxy has a reason for seeking Flora's help and while she is being searched for we get her story. Another get installment in the D.D. Warren series that kept me turning the pages.
Legend by Katy Evans #6
Reese wants/needs a fresh start to try and find who she is now. She moves in with her cousin Brooke to help her with her young son Riptide as they prepare for Remi's last year of MMA. Maverick want to be the next champion, but he is hiding something and once it is revealed no one wants anything to do with him. Reese and Maverick meet at the gym and make a connection. They keep their relationship a secret at the beginning. Can two broken people forge a new life as they reinvent themselves and as a couple? This raw, emotional and triumphant book stood alone well despite being part of series.

I love Lisa Gardner's books, all of them! I enjoyed this one very much. Laura Lippman is another author I read on merit of her name alone but I haven't read Sunburn yet. I used to read Linda Howard way back when, she fell off my radar but I've been seeing this book around lately.
The little guy is adorable! Love his hair color :)
Awe, first birthdays are such fun. You've got a great line up of books to read. Happy reading!
I'm all for partying at first birthdays - love little ones partying up. I know you get through a lot of audio, I haven't given too much thought to June audio month but I must. I picked up one to listen to because a bit of hype in the romance world about it, even though I keep telling myself to read less romance!
Aw happy 1st birthday to the little guy! Sunburn by Lippman is one I put on my radar a few months ago, I need to get to it. Look For Me looks good!
I am going to try to track the Gardner book.
Hope the celebrations go brilliantly
Look for Me sounds great. Happy birthday to the little guy.
Love that little tie your grandson is wearing! So cute! I've read several books by Lisa Gardner including the first Flora book and other books in the D.D. series. I can see that I'll need to watch for this one. Have heard interesting things about Lippman's new book. I'm still on the fence about reading that one. And yes, audio definitely lets my numbers rise and rise. I find about half my reading these days is audio.
Your grandson is adorable! I think I'd like Look For Me too.
He's a cutie! I think one was one of my favorite ages for my kids. Such innocence and happiness. It was a joy! I haven't read the Lisa Gardner books but they do look good. I added the author to my list of series to look more closely into. Thanks for sharing!
Happy first birthday to your grandson!
I enjoyed Look for Me and Sunburn. Have a great week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Lisa Gardner is a good author! I have read some of the books in the series and love them. Haven't read this one though.
Happy birthday to the little guy with a cute tie. He's adorable!
I enjoyed Look for Me and should read more by the author. I bought Find Her but am finding Flora's story too graphic for me. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
