Weekly Reading Wrap Up (SP/IMWAYR?)

Big Jack by J.D. Robb (#17.5)
It has been fifty-six year since the diamond heist and a quarter of them are still missing.  Samantha has written a book about the crime and has been on a promotion tour. When she returns home her house sitter has been murdered.  Lt.  Eve Dallas is assigned the case and works tirelessly to investigate. When another seemingly random woman turns up dead the cases get connected to each other as well as the crime of years ago.  This story was original published as a two part book Remember When.

The Study of Seduction by Sabrina Jeffries ( #2)
Lady Clarissa finds herself in trouble and needing help.  Her cousin's best friend Edwin agrees to help her out of this fix. They pretend to be engaged to fend off the interest of an unwanted suitor.  This suitor does not give up and they are forced to go a bit further than they expected in order to keep family secrets on both sides buried.  Enjoyable second installment in this series.

The Lion's Lady by Julie Garwood  (#1)
Loved it when first published in 1988 and enjoyed it 30 years later.

Beyond Reason by Kat Martin  (#1)
Carly is trying to keep her deceased grandfather's company in business.  After one of her driver's is murdered Lincoln Cain offers to buy her out.  She is determined to make things up to her grandfather and refuses the offer.  Lincoln owes Carly's grandfather for giving him a chance when no one would  and will help Carly whether she wants it or not. When she is threatened by a drug lord she accepts his help. Fast paced, plenty of action in this first book of a new series.

Up Next:
Fifty Fifty by James Patterson and Candice Fox
Shattered by Allison Brennan
The One You Can't Forget by Roni Loren

The time away visiting with family was great.  Taking a break from social media was also refreshing. It is good to be back and I'm glad that spring arrived when I was gone!

Glad to have you back. It's great when you re-read a book years later and still like it.
