A Devil of A Duke by Madeline Hunter (#2)
Amanda likes her secretary position to eccentric Lady Farnsworth. She was brought up by two thieves and has been keeping herself far from that lifestyle until she gets a note from her mother. She is being held captive and must steal an artifact for her freedom. Amanda sneaks into a masquerade ball to figure out how to get into the house next door to steal the item needed. She attracts the attention of Gabriel, Duke of Langford. She agrees to meet him the next night in order to carry out her theft . Gabriel soon figures out that she is in trouble, and despite being used by her sets out to help her. Funny, witty with some adventure that hopefully leads to a HEA.

Olivia feels forced to return home after treating an epidemic with other fellow Doctors. She will be quarantined with her family for a week. Prior to Olivia coming home her father's past threatens, sister Phoebe gets engaged and mom Emma receives some bad news. As the days pass they work through the choices they've made, deal with each other and the secrets that are revealed. This character driven debut novel told in the alternating voices of the family is a quick, entertaining read.
This Fallen Prey by Kelley Armstrong (#3)
Casey and Eric are settling into their lives in Rockton, a town that lives off the grid for the protection of it's residents. They are blindsided when the council drops off a suspected serial killer to be held in their town. When threats begin against Oliver they know more is going on here that what they've been told by the council and by Oliver himself. Casey and Eric need to figure out what is happening and quickly before their entire town is destroyed. A fast, paced thriller with plenty of twists.
Unexpected Rush by Jaci Burton (#11) audio
Harmony is a successful business woman going after what she wants and getting it. She has decided that Barrett Cassidy is next on her list. He plays with her brother on a professional football team so access is not a problem. The problem is the bro code that Barrett has with her overprotective brother who has declared Harmony "off limits". However, Barrett is finding it hard to fight this attraction and they keep the relationship secret. When the secret is revealed things get a little rough. Will Harmony and Barrett work it out? Lucy Malone narrated this book that bordered on irritating to me at times. Not sure if it was the characters or her male voices.
Someone To Wed by Mary Balogh (#3)
Third story in the Westcott family saga has Alexander the new Earl taking his new responsibility seriously. The former Earl has left the estate in disrepair without the funds needed. Alex had planned to marry for more than affection, but now things may require a different approach. His neighbor, business owner and recluse Wren has invited him to tea. He attends thinking it is a welcome to the neighborhood thing. He is surprised when he is the only guest and she offers marriage. She is looking for a husband and figures one in need of a fortune is the only way she will achieve that goal. Wren has a serious self-esteem issue due to her birthmark. They agree to see if they suit and begin a tentative courtship. Great writing, characters and story line made this third book excellent. I look forward to the next book.

This was a rough week as I spent most of it on the couch with a cough/cold. Just when I thought I was over the hump, I had a relapse this weekend. We have been promised spring like weather at the end of the week.

Banish that cold. Oh some great books I want to read - the Mary Balogh of course and wouldn't mind trying the M Hunter one either. Seven Days of Us is one on my radar as well.
