Because of Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn #1
The Bridgerton and the Rokesbys have been long time family friends. It has always been assumed that Billie would marry one of the Rokesby boys. She has been happy helping her father run their estate and has no problem with being invisible. Billie is not as friendly with George the eldest brother. While trying to rescue a cat Billie gets stuck on a roof and George is the one that finds her first. They seem to tolerate each other, but have great banter even when it borders on insulting. George feels his responsibility and seems at times to resent Billie's free spirit, but it ultimately is what attracts him the most. While I liked George and Billie, the secondary characters got me wanting their stories. A good start to a new series.
The Shut-In by JP and Duane Swericzynski (audio)
Tricia is allergic to the sun and must stay indoors. She gets out by flying a personal drone. One day she sees an older woman kill a homeless man and loses her drone in the process. When she reports it to the police they are skeptical so she sets out to find this killer. Little does she know that the killer is closer than she thinks. Narrated by Caitlin Greer and Kevin T. Collins.

The Wicked Heir by Elizabeth Michels
Fallon St. James is head of a secret organization, the Spare Heir Society, that helps those in need and isn't always on the right side of the law. Isabelle has found her husband and adores him from afar. When her twin sister becomes engaged to him to thwart a scandal, Isabelle is heartbroken and begins her search a new. She has a criteria that her intended must fulfill, which may be a bit naive, but she is determined. When she meets Fallon she finds him nice, but not necessarily husband material. She meets a man that qualifies in every aspect, but does not know that she is his target. Fallon becomes aware of it, and in order to protect her, has to go against what he believes he needs to do to maintain his business and keep the Spares safe. While in hiding they get to know each other and fall in love, but can Fallon still run the Spare Heir Society and be a man of society? This third book is best read after the first two to fully know the characters.
