Brigid is an ex-FBI agent happily married when she is called by her former partner about a case she is involved in. A man on death row has just a few days of appeal left and Laura needs Brigid's help. She doesn't hesitate to travel to Florida to help her out, despite her believing him to be guilty. Their time is running out, but Brigid is determined to get to the truth. A fast paced, intelligent novel that despite being the third book in the series drew me in and has me wanting to go back and read the first two novel. I love that this character is older that your normal protagonist.
