Weekly Reading Wrap Up (SP/IMWAYR?)

Into The Fire by Jeaniene Frost (#4)
Vlad and Lelia have to race against time to find a way to reverse a curse. Fourth book in the series was full of action, a few twists and a great conclusion.  Looking forward to Ian's book.

Devil In Spring by Lisa Kleypas (#3)
Pandora is looking forward to her board game being manufactured.  Her brother-in-law is helping her bring it to completion. She is taking part in the season only for her twin sister's benefit.  Her friend needs her to retrieve her earring that she lost in the boat house.  While Pandora is bending over to pick it up, her balance issues take over and she gets herself stuck. Gabriel is also avoiding the season and everything that goes along with it.  He has come for the firework display and comes across a stuck Pandora. While trying to help her get unstuck they are found out and a scandal begins to brew.  Pandora is horrified that Gabriel offers her marriage as it is the last thing she wants. Gabriel is intrigued by this awkward free spirit and invites her family to his family estate away from the gossips.  It is easy to fall in love with these characters as they get to know each other. Witty banter, unconventional heroine and a swoon worthy hero make for a delightful read. Can't wait for Cassandra's story.

A Darkness Absolute by Kelly Armstrong (#2)
Casey is settling into her role as a Detective in Rockton, a town where people go to disappear for awhile.  While out looking for a missing man, Casey and her partner Will are caught in a snowstorm. They take cover in a cave to wait for the storm to pass and stumble upon a woman who has been held captive. Nicole had been declared dead over a year ago and has no idea who it is that abducted her. While investigating they discover two more bodies and realize they may have a serial killer on the loose. Plenty of action, a few twists that have Casey, Eric and Will wondering who can be trusted and perfect pacing makes this second book in the series an unputdownable read.

Hot Pursuit by Lynn Raye Harris (#1)
As a special ops team leader Matt is on the hot seat for a mission gone wrong.  While he is home for his sister's wedding  he reunites with long time friend Evie.  Evie is back home because her former boyfriend stole everything from her, as Matt did when they were in high school. She wants nothing to do with him, but when her sister is kidnapped because Evie supposedly has something a powerful man wants, she needs to rely on Matt. Fast paced, action filled with secondary characters that held my interest more than Evie and Matt.

Run To Ground by Katie Ruggle (#1)
Theo has experienced a devastating loss.  Jules is new to town and is keeping a huge secret. A start to a new series that is not without some problems, but interesting enough to want to read the next book.

March Reading Wrap-Up

Book Thoughts Posted:
Wanted and Wired by Viven Jackson

Even though I got sick on my vacation to Florida it was a nice time to rest and relax in sunshine and warmth.  The last part of my week included lots of reading while sitting in the sun.

Last week Under the Boardwalk turned 10!

Sorry to hear you were sick while on vacation but congrats on the 10 year anniversary of your blog! That is pretty impressive!

I almost bought Her Every Fear since it is a Kindle book deal today but decided I'd better wait and get it from the library sometime. I am not a big suspense fan though I do like to pick up suspense books every now and then. My sister loved his other book, The Kind Worth Killing so I am curious about this one.

I've heard great things about Lisa Kleypas, but I have yet to actually read anything by her. Maybe I'll give this series a try.

Devil in Spring sounds great. I heard them talking about Seven Minutes in Heaven on a podcast and resolved to look it up and read when possible.

Wow, ten years! I suddenly realized that I've been blogging for nine years, this month, but the first year saw very little activity in my one little blog, the one I later merged with An Interior Journey.

Glad you recovered and got to enjoy some of your vacation.

Enjoy your books and your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

Into the Fire sounds really good! And, of course, Kelley Armstrong''s book. I really need to dive into that series. Run to Ground sounds great too. So many great sounding books! Aiiee!

I hope you enjoy your next up books. Her Every Fear is one I've been wanting to read.

I was sorry to hear you were sick during your vacation. But I am glad you had a nice time in Florida.

Happy blog anniversary! Ten years is quite a milestone. We old folk (long time bloggers) need to stick together. Haha

Once again, I see a list of authors that I have never read. It is so daunting to consider how many authors I simply don't know, let along have read. Maybe after I'm retired I'll catch up a bit...maybe.
