Tuesday Intro/Teaser

First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros is a weekly meme hosted by Diane at Bibliophile by the Sea every Tuesday. To participate share the opening paragraph or two of a book you've decided to read based on that paragraph. Please feel free to join in, First Chapter~First Paragraph~Tuesday Intros.

London 1876
Two days earlier
Lady Pandora Ravenel was bored. Bored stiff. Bored of being bored. And the London Season was barely underway. She would have to endure four months of balls, soirees, concerts, and dinners before Parliament closed and the families of the peerage could return to their country seats. There would be at least sixty dinners, fifty balls, and heaven knew how many soirees. She would never survive.

Devil In Spring by Lisa Kleypas (#3)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Ambrosia of The Purple Booker

She's my twin, the nicer, prettier one, and you're the kind of husband she's been hoping for. If you'll let me go fetch her, you could compromise her, and then I'll be off the hook.

I have to say first that I love the cover. I'd grab the book just for that as it says beautiful historical romance. The first paragraph and the teaser, however, say there might also be some spice in the story. I'm interested.

Sounds like a good story. This is an author I want to try.

Haha! That teaser. :-) I like the opening you shared too. I think I'd be bored in her shoes too! This sounds like a good one.

Totally agree with Margot. Sounds like a fun read. Here's the link to my intro/teaser for today from Kate Williams' Becoming Queen: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-1wi

Gorgeous cover, and while I don't read many books of this genre, I am intrigued. Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
