Tony Briggs couched up blood, then wiped his mouth with his shirtsleeve. This was bad. Although it was nothing he couldn't handle. He'd been through worse. Lots worse. But still, they didn't tell him he'd get this sick. He was beginning to think the bastards had double-crossed him. He tapped out "fine mess I got myself into" on his cell phone and hit Send before he changed his mind. The text message wasn't part of his instructions. Not part of the deal. He didn't care. So what if the watchers found out. What could they do him now? He already felt like crap. They couldn't make him feel much worse.
Reckless Cress by Alex Kava (#3)
Would you keep reading? The first two books in the series were very good and I look forward to see what Ryder Creed and his dogs are doing.
"Creed didn't want to punish Grace, for doing something that was second nature to her, but he also didn't want her to see his concern. Truth was, he had a bad feeling about these dead birds, and he hated that Grace had taken on in her mouth."
Yesterday was a big fail in getting started on wrapping the presents. Today will not see much getting done either. It is looking like it may be a marathon wrapping session. Do you wrap as you buy or wait until all the shopping is done?

I like to wrap gifts as I buy them so it doesn't become a chore having to do it all at once. Always put on the Christmas music too while I do it!
The book sounds good! The excerpt teased me and made me want more.
Here's mine: “SHE CAN KILL”
I take the easy way out with gifts...and my recipients claim that they prefer the gift cards I send.
Although I occasionally take something else along for my daughter, as she hosts our Christmas event.
Enjoy!
Hope the series continues to hold up. We will be wrapping on Friday afternoon in one big marathon!
Haven't read these at all and while I was intrigued by the intro, I'm now really concerned about the dog, Grace. I'll have to look into this series. Is it a series or a trilogy? Here's my link today: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-1oY
I'm definitely wondering what this character is going through and why he's sick. I'm also concerned about Grace. I'd keep reading to see how everything is resolved.
My Tuesday post features a middle grade novel: TOO BIG.
This book sounds good and is a new author for me.
I've stopped wrapping and put all my gifts in bags now. Goes much faster, which is good because I always wait until the last minute.
I get a chilling feeling about his watchers. Heebie jeebies.

This year I did a little of both--wrapping some as I bought them in order to keep prying eyes from finding out what they were getting and also waiting on some until I had everything so I could make sure I had what I needed. I wish you the best in getting it all done. It sure is a lot, isn't it? It felt like it anyway.
I like your teaser and would definitely keep reading, Nise'.
Normally I "wrap" as I go. This year it took me a while to find the reusable cloth bags, so I ended up with quite a build up and a few things wrapped with paper.
I use to read this author and enjoy his books but haven't tried one in a long time.
sounds quite intriguing indeed!
Jason and I were wrapping gifts on Christmas Eve :)
