Prologue
Snowed In
There were snowdrifts at the curbs and snow-buried benches in the parks and snowcaps on the street signs and fire hydrants and on the newel posts for the subway entrances. There were four inches so far, and they were thinking maybe ten when all was said and done. Four inches was laughable somewhere like Maine, but in Manhattan on a dark early November evening, it cancels plans and sends people indoors. The two black-clad figures on the BMW R 1200 RT sport motorcycle that rolled slowly north up Amsterdam Avenue near 135th Street not only knew that, they had planned on it. They'd been waiting on the cold snowy conditions for the last month.

"It's him," said the driver, calmly pocketing the target's driver's license and checking his watch. "Our work is done here. Time to go."

It's been so hot lately, a book set in winter sounds good to me! ;-)
This does sound like a good one. I haven't read much by this author. My teaser comes from Thrill Kill by Brian Thiem. Happy reading!
Sounds like a great "summer" read. Enjoy!
I have enjoyed several Patterson books over the years...and it's been a while, so I should take a look at this one. I liked the opening lines, and how they set the scene.
Thanks for sharing, and here's mine: “THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR”
I haven't read this Patterson book yet. The whole snowed in aspect sounds interesting, though.
Here's my Teaser Tuesday post.
I just finished a book set in the winter . . . Reading about snow in the summer perhaps makes us feel cooler in this heat. Haha
I hope you are enjoying this one.
Ahh, there's nothing like a good James Patterson thriller. Sounds good.
Well, James Patterson is always reliable, but I don't think you could count on a big snow in November in Manhattan. You could have been waiting until January or February. Here's Mine
Being in central Texas, i love reading about snow right now when our temps are at 100 or so. Good teaser and definitely can imagine that these guys are up to no good!
It's been ages since I've read a Patterson thriller, sounds rather good.
Bennett's become one of my favorite characters and this series my favorite by Patterson!
