Although smoking had been outlawed inside public establishments more than a decade ago, the bar still had leftover smog. Invisible yet pungent, it hung like an indiscernible cloud. Adding to it were eons of post adolescent hormones and a corner that never could completely ditch the smell of vomit. Aptly named the Bunker in this particular rural Pennsylvania college town, it was where a college freshman managed to get served a few beers, and the owner cold get away with it as long as neither acted like a jackass.

The Total Package by Stephanie Evanovich
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Jenn/ MizB of A Daily Rhythm and hosted at Books and A Beat

Everyone remembers their old college hangouts. But while Tyson Palmer sat alone at a table in the barf corner of his alma mater, he was grasping for memories.

This one sounds good. It is new to me. My teaser this week comes from The Deception of the Emerald Ring by Lauren Willig. Happy reading!

Great teaser! Not so crazy about the sound of that bar, but it certainly takes me back to college days. Have fun reading!

Here's my teaser from a vintage Sharyn McCrumb mystery

I've only read one book by this author, but this one sounds tempting. Enjoy! Here's mine: “DEATH AT BREAKFAST”

Good description of that bar - good enough to make most people stay away. Although I've stopped reading the Stephanie Plum novels, I'd give this one a try,

I haven't yet read anything by Stephanie Evanovich. I never really hung out at bars in college--drinking's never been my thing. We were more likely to be in the study room with pizza. :-)

This does sound good!

Why haven't I read Stephanie Evanovich yet??

I've wanted to read this author's work since her first book and haven't read her stuff, yet. I would keep reading to see where it goes. So far, the stage looks to be set, and I'm curious about his memories - the what and why.

I think I knew a bar like that in college lol... no it wasn't that bad. :) Still it sounds like a fun read. Happy Tuesday!

I've read about the first 12 books in the Stephanie Plum series. The first few were so much fun for me, but she did get a bit formulaic as she went along (of course this series has been going on forever so it's expected).

I haven't read other series or stand-alones by her, and this beginning and other tidbit don't tell me much about what it's about. Hope you really enjoy it!

This is an author I have always meant to read but never have. I would keep on reading.
