Titans by Leila Meacham
Nathan and Samantha are twins that were separated at birth. The reason why is a major part of the story. Samantha is raised by a powerful cattle baron. Nathan is raised on a small farm, and is looking forward to taking it over. One day a stranger visits the farm claiming to be Nathan's father. After 20 years he learns the truth of his birth and decides to go live with his father. Trevor is just investigating the oil drilling industry and wants to include Nathan. Samantha intercepts a letter that makes her suspicious and when she begins a inquiry that could tear apart her family. Love, secrets, lies, betrayal, and forgiveness made this an enjoyable family saga chunkster.
The Two-Family House by Lynda Cohen Loigman
Rose and Helen are sisters-in-laws married to brothers. Both families live in the same house, one upstairs, one downstairs. The brothers own a business together. Abe and Helen have four boys. Rose and Mort have three girls. The cousins are very close and both women become pregnant with their fifth and fourth kids. The dynamics of each family are very different and are an important part of the novel. The story of what happens after the babies are born is told in the voices of different characters. Family secrets, heartbreak, resentment, choices and escape make this a great debut novel that would be great for book club discussion.
The Lion's Mouth #4 by Anne Holt (audio)
Fourth book in the Hanne Williamson series narrated by Rosalyn Landor. Complete thoughts on June 3.
Finding Fraser by K.C. Dyer
Emma has had it with her life and is determined to find her own "Jamie". She sets out for Scotland to follow in the footsteps of fictional Claire in a beloved book (Outlander). She is sure that the love of her life will appear. Everything but that happens. I had a hard time believing someone could be so clueless all the time, but I did want to know what happened in the end. An easy read that I wanted to like more than I did.

Pepper has sold a rare Mercedes that was found in a barn on her sister's property. She spend months restoring it while hiding out. Pepper is pregnant and still is hiding out from the father, a married man, and her family. She sells it to Annabelle, whose story begins in 1935. How she left the car in the barn is told in alternating chapters with Pepper's story. When Annabelle and Pepper meet, Annabelle takes her home and befriends her. The money Pepper made from the sale is supposed to help her begin a new life, but what she finds is something completely different. I was absolutely glued to the pages for these women's stories. Even though this is the third book in the Schuyler Sister's trilogy, it stands on it's own, but do yourself a favor and read The Secret Life of Violent Grant and Tiny Little Thing.
The Duke of My Heart by Kelly Bowen (audio)
Maximus is not an ordinary Duke. He spends his time on a ship instead of at home doing Ducal things. When he arrives home after being gone for two years he finds his home in a state of chaos. An Earl is tied to his sister's bed and is dead. Ivory Moore, known as a "fixer" quickly is arranging things to keep the scandal quiet. Max is appalled and orders that she leave immediately. She doesn't respond to his bossiness and continues on with what she has been hired to do. With the dead Earl expertly taken care of by Ivory and her associates they can now begin searching for Beatrice the missing sister. While working together Max and Ivory develop feelings for each other that are not easily acted upon as well as having interesting life stories. A unique story line with great characters expertly narrated by Ashford McNab. This was the first in the Season for Scandal series. I look forward to listening to the second book A Duke to Remember.

This past weekend is known as the kick-off of summer. This was the nicest Memorial Day weekend that we've had in a long time. Didn't get much yard work done, but decided to go along to the zoo with my grandson.

Your grandson is adorable...he is getting so big!
I have enjoyed Leila Meacham, so Titans sounds like a book I should read.
Love your teddy bear logo....
Thanks for visiting my blog, and I love the restaurants in my neighborhood, so I always have a great selection to choose from. Enjoy your weekend.
I have been trying to track down The Two Family House. It sounds really good.
Glad your weekend is going great! It's been nice here too. Thinking of hitting the lakeshore tomorrow!
Great selection! I loved Along the Infinite Sea, started at the wrong end, but as you say it does stand alone as well. I have bought the first one and intend to read the first two. I agree The Two Family House would make great book club discussion. Cole is growing up!
I'm about half way through Finding Fraser and have set it aside. Should I pick it back up? Interesting picks this week. Happy Reading!

My It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?
I can't believe you read ALL those books this week!! Finding Fraser was a cute idea but it's too bad it didn't really work. It might have been b/c it's been done before?
And thanks for mentioning the ZOO!!! I've been racking my brain with what to do with my son - the ZOO!!! Why didn't I think of that?!?!? Thanks!!!
Enjoy the rest of this gorgeous weather this week!!
The Two Family House sounds like a good read. I will add it to my list.

Some of these are new to me! I am going to look more into them though!

Glad to hear you liked The Two-Family House.. have already go that on my list. And I need to get caught up with the Schuyler sisters, too!
I'll be interest to hear what your review is of Anne Holt because I loved her books but then got put off by one (with demon in the title, I don't remember the whole thin). A good review might tempt me back. Have a good week.
I read "The Two-Family House" when it came out nd really enjoyed it. I agree that it would make an excellent book club book!
I loved Along the Infinite Sea and think I'm one of the few who loved it better than Tiny Little Thing. But, Violet Grant beats them all for me. I'm still wanting to get to The Two Family House some time this summer. Enjoy your Memorial Day holiday. :)
I have a Duke of my Heart for review, I am glad to hear you enjoyed it so much and you make me excited to read it. I'll have to try and fit it into my reading schedule soon.
The Two-Family House is on my wishlist. It looks great.
I love this weekend and it's starting to feel like summer.
It was a great holiday weekend weather-wise! I am glad you got to spend it with family. :)

Looks like a great reading week! I went to the zoo yesterday and saw elephants and tigers, both beautiful and awesome animals. Didn't get to pet anything, though!
