Weekly Reading Wrap Up (SP/IMWAYR?)

That dreaded respiratory flu found me again and had me in bed for 2 days. Not sure if it totally didn't go away and the plane ride home ramped it up again or if it just found me again after 3 weeks? Thankfully I was able to read when awake.  This time around I am making a slow come back so it totally goes away as it is an unwanted, uninvited guest!

Snapped by Laura Griffin #4
I started the Tracers series with book 8 and liked it so much that I am reading the previous books.  They stand alone well so I am not missing or spoiling anything significant.  Sophie has been working at Delphi Center and wants to move on and up with the company.  She knows that attending a few classes will help make that happen.  While she is on campus a sniper kills three people before killing himself.  As the shooting is investigated she remembers seeing the shooter get out of a car driven by another man and is convinced that he did not act alone.  All the evidence says that she is wrong.  Jonah the lead detective and everyone else involved wants it to be over, but takes he a risk with his career and continues to investigate and protect Sophie.  I liked Sophie's determination even though some of her decisions made me crazy.  Jonah fought their attraction because of his position, but you could feel their chemistry.   A page turner that kept me guessing.

Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
Seventeen year old Maddy has a rare disease that keeps her house bound.  She sees her mom and her nurse.  Every few weeks her online tutor also comes for a visit.  While looking out the window she sees the new neighbors moving in.  It is a family of four and the teenage boy snags Maddy's attention. They begin communicating through email and see each other out their bedroom windows. Maddy is a great observer and sees what is happening with Olly's family. He does not talk about it. Maddy's nurse allows Olly to come over once a month, and their love for each other grows. Something happens that causes Maddy to throw off the fear that has overshadowed her life that keeps the pages turning with fear and anticipation. This debut story is told in an unique way that is full of laughter, tears, anger and forgiveness.

Aw, sorry to hear you're sick! Hope it goes away quick. Everything Everything sounds like a good read.

I don't remember if you're a Game of Thrones watcher, if so did you see the premiere tonight? Pretty good.

If not, never mind lol. :)

I've wondered about Everything Everything. I've seen it around a little but really not known what it was about!

I have not read any of the books you listed, but most look interesting. Hope you continue to get better. Our family has a saying , "drink more water!" It is our answer to everything! It has become a family joke, but it is true. Extra fluids can certainly help. Hope you enjoy some extra juice, smoothies, coffee, tea or wine. Whatever is your favorite. Take care of yourself.

I have been eyeing Laura Griffin's books, and haven't decided whether or not to start with The Tracers series, or one of her newest ones, like Far Gone. Either way, it's good to know that they don't have to be read in order.

I also need to catch up on Mary Kay Andrews' books! Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

Oh, I hope you are healed up!! This year has been kind to me. Some years I'm sick all winter and some I can live in a house with the flu and not get it. Happy healing!
