This is me.
I usually wake up between 7:30 -8:30 am. Depending on what my day holds I will read a bit before I get out of bed!
Most mornings I enjoy toast with cashew butter sprinkled with cinnamon and a glass of my morning drink (apple cider vinegar, lemon juice and raw honey in hot water)
I try to take a few minutes before the day gets going and have a quiet time. It helps to get away from the noise that invades all of our lives and listen to the one voice that means the most to me.
While getting ready in the mornings I always listen to an audiobook. I just started The Quality of Silence by Rosamund Lupton.
Today my exercise class is held at this wonderful warm pool. It is a gentle joint class where we work on strength, mobility, range of motion and have a great time. Other days I will walk (with an audiobook).
After a quick lunch of cheese slices and Cuties (tangerines), I headed off to enjoy an hour and half massage! The drive to my therapist's house is 30 minutes so I started a new audio in the car. The Duke of My Heart by Kelly Bowden
After the massage I headed to my daughter and son-in-law's house to play with Cole while Kevin fixed their car. We took a walk to visit the neighbor's horses and played basketball with the neighbor kids. Before dinner Cole watched an episode of Blaze while I read on my phone Kindle app. Today I had dinner with them. We grilled hamburgers. I like to stay until after bath time in order to read a few books with Cole before bed.
I try to be in bed by 10-10:30pm every night. I love to diffuse lavender and cedarwood essential oils while I read to help me relax and get sleepy. The light gets turned off no later than 11:30 pm. Hopefully I will stay asleep the entire night! Sometimes if I wake up and can't get back to sleep I will listen to an audiobook on my Kindle.
Hope you enjoyed a little peak into my day.

Very nice, Nise'! Those two little ones are sure cute and I know that you enjoy spending time with them. And that warm water pool - bet it's great. I've noticed that my rec center has a new water thing - water walking - with a specified lane set aside at the indoor pool. I'm thinking of trying that just as a change-up from the regular walking.
At my book club last night, several people were talking about apple cider vinegar and how good it is for you. I didn't realize so much of your reading is via audiobooks.
Thanks for sharing a day in your life, Nise' :) It sounds like it was a very good one :) And that warm pool for exercising sounds like heaven. I did classes in a warm pool when I was pregnant with number 3 and number 4, and it was so nice to be able to move without hurting or feeling too heavy! Plus, it was a midwife who gave us the class, so those who had questions could ask about the upcoming birth as well :)
I hope you're having a wonderful week and keep enjoying your ongoing books.

On Friday mornings I like to read in bed before I finally get up for the day. It's a great way to start the day!
I enjoyed reading about your day, Nise'. Cole is so precious.
Here is a day in my life if you are interested.
Sounds like a full and interesting day Nise. Love massages though have not had one for ages. Your day contains so much good stuff! Loved the pics.
Your day sounded wonderful! I love your ideas for breakfast and your lunch sounds like mine most days. The pool exercise is something I've been told I can do, but I have no place around here with a pool and the ocean isn't the same thing. In my future though... for now, I walk.
The grandkids are such cuties and you are blessed to have them live nearby :) Love the idea of the essential oils. I have major trouble getting a decent amount of sleep. Just got a new expensive pillow-- maybe will try the oils. Thanks for sharing this!
Grandchildren! They're everywhere I look these days, but three kids in their twenties and no potential for grandchildren in sight! ;) OK with me for a while more, at least, as we're busy with our parents right now! I listen to a lot of audiobooks, too, and am going to go exercise at the Y and listen to my current one, Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty, complete with Australian accents!
Fun post Nise. I love your pool! Lucky you sleeping so late, I'm retired but up by 5:00 each morning as we have one cat who howls non stop for food at that hour. As a result I go to bed to read around 9:00 pm:)
An hour and a half massage sounds heavenly!
I love how you added some relaxing and peaceful elements to your day, with attention to healthy foods, exercise, etc. A massage! Sounds blissful.
Enjoying your grandson makes for a perfect day, doesn't it, and I like how TV time with your husband is something you enjoy, too.
Thanks for sharing!
Yes! Your day sounds peaceful, fulfilling and relaxing!
I listen to audiobooks if I wake up during the night, too. That pool looks very inviting! Thanks for the peek at your day.
You know, I have a friend who sells the essential oils--I am going to ask her about the lavender, etc. Sounds like a nice way to end your day. Isn't reading to our grandkids THE BEST?!
I love how much audio book time you squeeze into your day. I always feel like I need to have a lot of time to listen, but that doesn't seem to come up so I mostly only listen in the car on long drives. I should try just popping it in during little moments to see if that works.
That is so wonderful that you get in some reading time before your day starts! I try to do that on the weekends for sure. Love the post and the pics!
What a great day. Love that you stay late enough at your daughter's to read some bedtime books. My mom lives less than a mile from me and while I get to see her quite a bit, I think it means that we miss out on some of those extended visits.
So much audio! Awesome. With the baby, it's been tough for me to figure out where to squeeze it in (she hates being in the car!) but like you I also use my kindle phone app quite a bit. :) Thanks for sharing Nise!
Loved reading about your day. I would love a massage right about now! lol
You are so pretty :) Jason gets regular massages but usually only an hour, so I can imagine how good you feel after an hour and a half! Your day is so balanced and healthy.
