Tuesday Intro/Teaser

First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros is a weekly meme hosted by Diane at Bibliophile by the Sea every Tuesday. To participate share the opening paragraph or two of a book you've decided to read based on that paragraph. Please feel free to join in, First Chapter~First Paragraph~Tuesday Intros.

Twenty-seven minutes is, if anyone every asks, exactly how log it takes to cram everything I own into six giant trash bags. Add that to the twenty minutes I'd already spent picking and losing a fight with Nick the Asshole, plus five additional minutes to stuff all the bags into my car, and them maybe a minute to eat the stale half a Slim Jim I found on the floor of the backseat, and you're still only up to fifty-three minutes.

The Art of Crash Landing by Melissa DeCarlo

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Jenn/ MizB of A Daily Rhythm

I'm lying about the fifty-three minutes. It's actually taken years to get things this bad.

OK, first of all, ick about the stale Slim Jim from the back seat. LOL

I've heard pretty good things about this book. Hope it works well for you.

I really want to read this one. I love the intro you shared and the teaser. This sounds like it will be a good one.

I read this last year and am sorry to say I didn't care for it primarily because I didn't like Mattie, the main character. Lots of other readers enjoyed the book so don't let me stop you. It just didn't work for me.

What a brilliant teaser - I want to know more - what was the fight about and where is she going? Thanks for sharing.

Those are great teasers and I would definitely keep reading to see what is going on. I already don't like this Nick person :)

Really great teaser. I wonder what the fight was about? I agree with Kay about the Slim Jim. My teaser/ intro is from a teen spy novel by Anthony Horowitz. (I like to read books before I give them away to my great-niece and great-nephew — my excuse is that I'm checking that they're OK for them but really, I just like reading them.)
