Weekly Reading Recap

I normally don't read that many Christmas themed novels, but last week they appealed to me! I need to get Christmas shopping done instead of Christmas reading.

Winter Stroll by Elin Hilderbrand (audio)
The Quinn family drama continues this Christmas.  It is Stroll weekend and the festivities along with a baby baptism are just what the family need to help with the stress over missing Bart.  Mitzi is back after running off and will Kelly be happy or distressed? Jennifer is not handling Peter's absence well. Ava thought her relationship with Scott was going great until Nate shows up and Ms. O needs Scott's help. Kevin and Isabelle are happily looking forward to the baptism of their daughter when someone from Kevin's past returns.  Will they implode or be drawn closer together as a family?  A good Christmas family drama narrated by Erin Bennett.

Christmas In Mustang Creek by Linda Lael Miller
Charlotte is returning home to Mustang Creek to take care of her Aunt Geneva.  New York did not live up to her expectations. The trip is slow going due to a winter storm.  There is one room left at the hotel and there is a person in line before her.  It turns out to be Jaxon, returning to Mustang Creek for a job.  They had a thing in New York.  Jaxon took the job because he heard she was returning and is determined to win her back.  A lovely older lady with a mysterious background has been taking care of Aunt Geneva's pets in her absence, and now is doing her best to convince Charlotte that all she needs is right here at home.  A fun holiday romance.

Thrill Me by Susan Mallery
Maya has decided to accept a job from Mayor Marsha to produce a series of advertisements for the town's new slogan, "A Destination For Romance".  Maya is fantastic behind the camera and needs an on camera personality.  Mayor Marsha has taken care of that, of course!  In walks Del, an extreme sports star, and her former fiancee.  She broke it off and broke his heart.  As they work together they discover that not only are they a great team, but the old spark is still there and every effort they try to make to deny it doesn't work.  They have great chemistry and begin to work towards forgiveness and a future together.  It is always great to revisit Fool's Gold and catch up with all the characters as well as be treated to new relationships.

Christmas In Cold Creek by RaeAnne Thayne
Two great stories from the Cold Creek Series.  Touring Dec. 16th

The Christmas Wedding Ring by Susan Mallery

I kept getting an error message when I tried to click on your post but it seems okay now!

Ahhh... more Christmas reading. Am pretty sure you're trying to torture me Nise'. (Although don't tell anyone but I think I'm finally getting in the holiday spirit! Need to keep my bah-humbug reputation intact!)

No time like the present to read a good Christmas novel and those look pretty good. I really want to read Thrill Me too.

ha, Christmas reading won't get the Christmas shopping done! I enjoyed the Linda Lael Miller one, full of fun. You are further along in the Survivior's Club series, I do want to get onto a few more in that, as I like it. Have a great shopping week!

Christmas shopping or Christmas reading... I haven't done a single thing to get ready for Christmas yet, so I understand you completely, however, those books!
Have a wonderful week and happy reading.

Christmas reading is a lot more fun than Christmas shopping, but I haven't done much of either. Time to get going!!

I'd much rather read Christmas books than do Christmas shopping. I'm someone who does their shopping early, I'm pretty much nearly all done, because I can't stand the crowds and rush as it gets closer to the day itself.... I'd much rather be cosy at home reading. Haha!

Happy reading - enjoy your upcoming reads!

I recently read my first book by RaeAnne Thayne(Snow Angel Cove), so A Cold Creek Christmas Story looks good. I also liked Winter Street last year; Winter Stroll sounds like the perfect addition to my shelves.

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

I've read a few Christmas-themed books already, but some I read in October. I haven't read any lately ;) I still need to finish my Christmas shopping, too - luckily I don't have a lot to do!

Have a great week!

I didn't realize there were so many Christmas-themed novels! Thanks so much for sharing! :)

I don't really read "Christmas" books to read them at that time of the year. Guess maybe one of these days I should try that. I always say I'm going to read scary books at Halloween, but that doesn't always happen either.
