Reading Wrap Up

Memory Man by David Baldacci
Amos Decker's brain was injured in a football collision that changed him dramatically, some good, some bad. His work as a detective was fulfilling, but his greatest joy was his wife and daughter.  The evening he came home to find them killed brought about another change.  Sixteen months later the crime is still unsolved, he is living in a hotel doing some PI work when a school shooting takes place.  His old partner asks for his unique help and when it is discovered that this shooting is related to his family's murder he becomes invested in finding the killer(s).  Immediately I was drawn into the story and cared about Amos.  The story takes many turns that kept me turning the pages.  I do hope there is more to Amos' story!  Well done Mr. Baldacci.

Lies I Told by Michelle Zink
Grace and her family have recently moved to an affluent neighborhood in order to pull their biggest con yet.  Her job is to get involved with the son of the billionaire and get the lay of their home.  Each of her family members have a job to do, which in the past, has never been a problem for her.  But this time it is different and she struggles with the actions she takes. Will she go through with her part?   A great start to a new series.  I look forward to the next book.

(More Than Petticoats) Remarkable Michigan Women by Julia Pferdehirt
I read this book as part of my library's summer reading challenge.  It spotlights 12 extraordinary women who contributed to making lasting change in history.  A short, but enjoyable read.
