I have no clue where last week went. Did not get much time to read print this week. I started a couple of books, then got distracted by another book, and then another book caught my attention. Spent more time listening to audio.
Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:
Virtue Falls by Christina Dodd
Elizabeth is known as the girl who saw her father murder her mother, but she does not remember anything. She is now a geologist and has turned home to study the geological changes of the area, and because her father has been released to a care facility with Alzheimer's. Many believe that Charles is innocent of his wife's death. A earthquake hits, uncovers some bones and unleashes a series of events that has the town reeling with fear, but many wanting the secrets revealed. A fast paced suspenseful read. .
Disconnected by Jennifer Weiner (audio)
This short audio is haunting with a interesting twist. Shannon has completed her sixth stint at rehab and is determined to make it this time. We get a bit of her history and are rooting for her success. When she receives unknown texts/messages she fears that she is being drawn back into her former life, but there is something that she just can't ignore. Narrated by Jess Weixler.

Five months ago Harlow and Finn met in Vegas while on a wild weekend with their friends and stupidly got married (and then annulled). They really don't like each other but when Harlow's mom is diagnosed with breast cancer she needs a distraction and can't seem to get Finn out of her mind. Finn also needs a distraction, his family business is failing and he is contemplating a reality show to get them back in the black. They decide to use each other as a distraction, but it soon turns into much more for each of them. Hilarious, emotional and intense. Brilliantly narrated by Shayna Thibodeaux and Sebastian York (one of my favorites) This is book two in a series, but stands alone well.

January LaVoy does an excellent job of narrating this story of how Elise realized that she was receiving messages of those in trouble that helped the police rescue or solve a case. It takes her awhile to figure it out as she has just experienced a devastating loss and thinks what is happening is part of the grieving process. Elise is a character that appears in the novel Fragile, but reading it is not necessary to this story. This short audio is the first part of a three part series of Elise's life.

I am eager to read this new Unger trilogy...I love her other books a lot. I also am curious about Disconnected.
Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
yay for electric blankets!
and long lineups of books waiting ;)
No books familiar to me this week. I spent extra time listening to audio today. I went to the library yesterday and didn't notice when I got out of the car that I knocked the headlights on. Today I had to drive around for 40 mins to build up battery power again after roadside service had jump started me! Great for getting some extra listening in!!
I read the Lisa Unger novellas as well. I enjoyed the first but wasn't so sure about the second. Perhaps it would make more sense now I've read her upcoming novel Crazy Love You. Hmmm....
Good weather to be in reading- hope you had a good weekend. At least the snow stopped...
i adore lisa unger! just finished in the blood by unger and was blown away! looks like you've got a full load of books going ~ enjoy and have a great week!
I haven't read a Lisa Unger book for years and I really enjoyed her writing, must get back to her. I got sent Dirty Rowdy Thing to review but I didn't request it so not sure if I will, I really don't like reading out of order lol. Have a great week and enjoy your new reads :)
That happens to me alot lately - I start one book, then get distracted by another.
I'm going to see if my library has the Jennifer Weiner book on audio. That sounds like a good one to listen to.
Virtue Falls sounds like a good read too.
Have a great week!
Virtue Falls sounds very good as does Elise. Thanks for your thoughts.
4 books is a slow week for you but a big week for anyone else. I'd like to read Whispers.
Virtue Falls sounds really good and Dirty Rowdy Thing sounds like a fun read too.
I found it hard to stick with one book too but I managed to finish a third book yesterday afternoon. I haven't had much luck with audio lately.
I just added Doctor Death to my wishlist, I love the premise.
Have a great week,

Virtual Falls and The Whispers sound particularly interesting. I hope you have a great week!
Work kept me too busy this week along with elections in my country!
Hmmm...I'm going to have to check out that Jennifer Weiner audio! I've enjoyed her books, but have never tried her in audio.
I'll be interested to hear what you think of The Boston Girl...and how it is on audio. I read it and thought it was kind of blah.
Looks like a good week.
I like Lisa Unger. Enjoy her book and your whole reading week.

My It's Monday, What Are You Reading
Lol I have had weeks like that too! Book ADD I call it. :) Virtue Falls sounds really good!
I thought your pics were not showing on my computer at home so I waited to comment at work. Sadly they aren't showing here either. Only the top four book images are visible. I love Dodd and the Unger book looks interesting. I am going to check her out.
None of the new books are familiar to me. I have a long audio, 25 hours, I am just starting today.
Hope you enjoy your reading this week!
(BTW- I love saying "I'm not a robot" - ha ha.)
LOL, even on a slow week you read more than twice what I do!
