My brother slipped and fell on the rocks while fishing July 4th and broke his left leg and right shoulder. After surgery he is healing well, bored stiff while on medical leave. He enjoyed meeting Cole. His first grandson is due to arrive in December so he got some practice being a G-pa!We had every intention on taking a "nice" four generation picture, but never got around to it and had to snap a few last minute ones. This one was taken on a fishing trip my mom's friends took us on. We caught 20 salmon. It was a beautiful day on the water.
I choose to be unplugged for the entire trip (very freeing), and after spending two hours going through my email. I've decided to clear my reader and begin fresh.
I will be spending the last couple of weeks of summer at home, what plans do you have for enjoying the last days of summer?

I bet it was pretty darn freeing to be computer-free for several days! What a beautiful photo of y'all!
Wow all that salmon. Glad you had a wonderful time, and so good to see Cole he's getting really big, doesn't that happen too quickly. I've pulled a Nise and read 3 books this week. Well almost a Nise.
Oh wow, what a fabulous trip!
Looks like a great trip! 20 salmon-wooh hoo! Nice pic with the little guy- he looks like he's had a fun day on the water. :)
Looks like a fabulous trip. Love the photos, that one of Cole in the boat seat is too cute lol. 20 salmon, I'd be deliriously happy :)
Yay you for being UNplugged! Looks like great trip and it's always wonderful to be with family. Yes, just hit the "mark all read" button and start over.
What a great trip! I've always wanted to go up to Alaska...my mom went on a cruise up there last year and said it was beautiful!
Hope your brother is continuing to heal well. My dad just had a similar accident - he fell skiing back in March and broke his left ankle and shattered his right shoulder.
Isn't it so nice to just unplug for a while...I do it every once in a while - even for a day and it makes such a difference!
Hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!
Being unplugged must have been wonderful! Glad you had such a good trip...and even though it's not a "nice" picture, the boat photo is definitely a keeper!
It sounds like your trip was amazing! How nice to be unplugged for a while!
I was beginning to wonder about you Nise. Wow not many little guys like Cole have visited AK in his first year -- sorry about your brother.
LOVE, love, love. You were very brave to take a baby so far on a plane. Great pics and your daughter looks great. The four generations pic is the best because of Cole, of course :)
I'm sorry to read about your brother's injuries. I hope he is feeling fine soon.
