Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:
The Art of Arranging Flowers by Lynne Branard
Ruby has been grieving the loss of her sister for too long. She gave up her career as a lawyer to open a floral shop and was happy choosing the perfect arrangements for her clients. Ruby can see what they need better than knowing herself. I enjoyed the meanings of the flowers she chooses for her arrangements. She is introduced to three guys that will help her heal and open her heart to love. An emotional, touching and satisfying story.
*Thank you to Penguin Group for this review copy*Magic Rises by Ilona Andrews
Curran and Kate are asked to protect a pregnant woman from warring groups. Each has an interest in the unborn twins. Shortly after they arrive on the island, Kate realizes they are there because of her, and they will need all their strength, smarts and strategic maneuvering in order to stay alive. Full of action, great dialogue, book 6 in this series that just keeps getting better and better.
Evening Stars by Susan Mallery
Nina has been the caretaker/responsible one of her family (mom, sister) since she was twelve. She juggles her job, her mother's business and their home and when her sister shows up unannounced, she wonders what it will cost her. Two men have arrived in town and add to the confusion. Family relationships are tested, responsibilities reevaluated and love found.
Delilah: The Making of Red by Jessica Sorensen
This is a novella that features Delilah a character in the Nova series. We learn how she met Dylan and started hanging out with him and his friends. We find out what happens to her in No Regrets.
The Book of You by Claire Kendal
Claire made a decision one evening that has led to a a chilling, often unputdownable read of creepiness. While she is dealing with what is happening to her, she is chosen to serve on a jury with a horrible case, but where she feels safe. Told in Clarissa's diary as well as the present. A worthwhile debut.
FaceOff Edited by David Baldacci
This collaboration sounded like such a great idea, I just had to read it. Even if you are not familiar with some of the characters (as I was), you will enjoy these stories. Thoughts about individual stories on Friday.

Undetected by Dee Henderson

In The Blood by Lisa Unger
The Summer of Letting Go by Gae Polisner
