Tuesday Intro/Teaser

First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros is a weekly meme hosted by Diane at Bibliophile by the Sea every Tuesday. To participate share the opening paragraph or two of a book you've decided to read based on that paragraph. Please feel free to join in, First Chapter~First Paragraph~Tuesday Intros.

Prologue
The moment Kate Connelly heard her brother's too-cheerful greeting on the phone, she wished she had let the call go to voice mail. She loved Larry, yet right now she had nothing but bad news for him.  And fear.  "I hope you're calling to tel me that everything is fine," she said.
"If you were down her everything would be fine."
"No," she said, more carefully than she had meant, "I just finished a job with a very nervous gallery owner."
"Then what you need is a little vacation on white and sand beaches, blue sky, warm sea, and -"
"No." Cold chills rippled from Kate's nape to her fingertips.  The ravishing tropical paradise of St. Vincent was the heart of her nightmares.
"C'mon, Kate," he said impatiently, "Get over it. It happened almost fifteen years ago."

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of  Should Be Reading.

"Night diving was dangerous.  And now he was headed back to her greatest failure, her greatest fear."

A copy of this book has been floating (no pun intended) around one of my book clubs. I'll have to grab it the next time it surfaces (sorry for a second pun). Hope you enjoy it.

Oh, I hate it when someone says "get over it." This sounds like a book I would enjoy. Thanks for sharing.

I actually have this one on my kindle, but haven't gotten to it yet. I picked it up solely based on its topic- diving- since my husband and son are certified scuba divers. My whole family was going to do it together, but my daughter backed out when she got to the 30' dive in her training, and I couldn't take the course because of my disabilities.
Enjoy it! Hope it's good.

She's got to come to a closure on some stuff. That's hard and downright spooky. I don't envy her. Would like to read this one because Elizabeth Lowell writes good Romantic Suspense novels. Haven't had time to read her in a long time.
