It is a sad day here in Michigan as both our teams MSU and UofM did not make it into the Final Four.
How can this be the last Monday in March already? At least today we finally are experiencing spring weather. It won't last long as cool weather is coming back. Went to see Divergent last week and enjoyed the movie. Even though Theo James is gorgeous, he was not how I pictured Four.
Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:
Highlander Most Wanted by Maya Banks
Book 2 in the Montgomery/Armstrong series. Genevieve has been imprisoned by ruthless Laid McHugh. He was killed for his part in another abduction. Bowen Montgomery arrives to set the keep in order, and discovers what was done to her. As he discovers her courage, strength and dignity, she fears he will discover her secret.
The Good Luck of Right Now by Matthew Quick
Bartholomew is writing letters to Richard Gere. Each chapter is a letter. He has recently lost his mom to cancer and is grieving. On this journey through grief we learn why at age 38 he still lived at home, we meet the other people in his life, all with issues of their own and take a trip with them to Canada. A touching, funny, emotional novel. It takes a bit to get into the flow, but if you stick with it you will be rewarded!
Morning Glory by Sarah Jio
Ada moves from New York to Seattle to work through her grief, and rents a house boat on Lake Union. She meets the local residents, and discovers a previous tenant of her house boat disappeared. The disappearance has never been solved. Penny's story is told along with Ada's in alternating POVs, that Sarah does so well. Both stories kept my attention. I was a bit disappointed with the epilogue it was over the top in tying the two stories together.
Return to the House on Tradd Street by Karen White
Just when she thought all the mysteries were solved with her historic house, another set of remains is found. Discoveries about the remains threaten Melanie's ownership of the house that she has come to love. She is pregnant at 40, has turned down a proposal from Jack, and discovers her "psychic gifts" are no longer working due to her pregnancy. A great conclusion to this series that kept me turning the pages to find out what happens to these beloved characters
This Dark Road to Mercy by Wiley Cash
Easter and Ruby are in foster care after the death of their mother when their dad shows up and "kidnaps" them. Wade has not only stole his kids back, but also stole something from a powerful person. The girls guardian ad litem is looking for them as well as Bobby Pruitt, who is bent on revenge. There is suspense in who will find the girls first. Told in the alternating voices of Easter, Pruitt and Brady. Loved it.

The Weight of Blood by Laura McHugh
More Than This by Patrick Ness

Glad you enjoyed Divergent, I can't wait, 10 days til release in Australia! Can't wait to see what you think of Cress, I want to squeeze it in, but will have to wait til I get some review books read *sigh*
Hope the colder weather doesn't hang around for too much longer. Have a wonderful week and happy reading :)
The Sarah Jio book caught my eye. Also the book on Bartholomeuw. I still don't get it why its considered unusual for a 38 year old to live at home!!! Nothing unusual there for me.
I have this dark road on my TBR pile, must hurry it along. Are you as tired of snow as I am?
I am not sure if I will go and see Divergent - sometimes I just prefer the book and don't want to watch the movie. Will decide later! Looks like you had a good reading week. I want to read more Sarah Jio, just so many books competing!!
Looks like some fun reads! Hope you have a great reading week. :)

I've had Karen White on my wish list for so long! The Tradd Street series sounds perfect for me. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.
My post is HERE. Happy reading!
I'm looking forward to seeing Divergent even though I haven't read the books. Just looks fun. :) And yes it finally felt like spring today... nice to see some sun!
The Good Luck of Right Now sounds good and I may have to give that one a try.
Some good books coming up :) And some good books read too
Your reads from this past week all sound great!

I only made it through book one of the Divergent series (which is usual for me). I never like the movie as I do the book, so I'm not very hopeful about seeing the film.
Here's my It's Monday!
You read an interesting variety of books last week. I just put a couple of them on my wishlist. I hope you enjoy this week's books too. Thanks for visiting my blog and happy reading!
I haven't seen Divergent yet but I've heard it is pretty good and I am glad you liked it. I think Theo James is definitely way too old to play Four but oh well.
I am really looking forward to spring and I am going to enjoy this warmer weather while it lasts!
I hope you get a chance to read Cress soon. I really liked it. I've also heard some really good things about The Weight of Blood.
I have Weight of Blood on my kindle to read soon, hope you find it enjoyable. I have heard of the Tradd St. series all over, and will now have to check it out further. Enjoy!
I have the first book of Karen White's, can't believe I haven't read it yet, sigh.
Last day of March, unreal right.... It is rainy and yucky here but the weekend was gorgeous.
So many great books--most of which are either in my book piles or on my TBR list. Happy reading ahead!

I need to finish the Tradd Street series. Glad it was a good conclusion.
I haven't read that Sarah Jio book but I enjoyed another of her books. Happy reading!
