I use this platform to share my thoughts of the books I read the previous week. I will not be doing an individual post for each book as I read way too many books to do so. Those books that get their own post have links attached.
Oh dear, Christmas is in sixteen days and as you can tell, I've been reading instead of shopping! Are you done shopping?
Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:
The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion
Don, a socially challenged professor is sure he will find the perfect wife for him with his questionnaire. His previous bad dates are what leads him to develop this foolproof project that turns out to be anything but what he has planned. A delightful, funny, feel good debut.
Thankless In Death by J.D. Robb
We know right away who the perpetrator is, Eve and Co figure it out quickly so the race is to catch him before he kills again. They try to get the case wrapped up before Roarke's family arrives for the holiday.
Hunting Eve by Iris Johansen
Second installment in this trilogy about a father of a serial killer kidnapping Eve. Eve's escape is short lived, and as those looking for her get closer things go from bad to worse.
Just One Year by Gayle Forman
The books picks up right where Just One Day leaves off. This is Willem's story, which at first I didn't like, but the further I got into the book, I loved it and him. I am hoping there is one more book that features Willem and Allyson (LuLu) as I felt their story is a bit incomplete.
Ladies Night by Mary Kay Andrews
Popular Blogger Grace Stanton is living her perfect life until she catches her husband having an affair with her assistant. The way she reacts gets her in trouble and she is sent to a divorce recovery group. The group is comprised of great characters that discover their therapist is not all she seems. Another great read from this author.
My Own Miraculous by Joshilyn Jackson (audio)
This novella is a prequel to Someone Else's Love Story. We meet Shandi, a young mother to four year old Nattie. Nattie is proving to be a very smart little boy, and Shandi at first doesn't want to think about what it could mean until events take place that help her decide it is in Nattie's best interest to do so. Brilliantly narrated by the author. Can't wait to read more of their story.
Thank you to HarperAudio for this DA.Audios Completed:
The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks (audio)
Red Hill by Jamie McGuire (audio) thoughts posted later this week
Up Next:
Take Over At Midnight by M.L. Buchman
Welcome Back to Apple Grove by C.H.Admirand

I am not done shopping either... I expect it will be down to the crunch this year. Looks like you have been doing some good reading, though!
Nise, I am usually done and haven't really started, only my daughter which of course is important, but no one else. I even went looking on Sat and nothing spoke to me, sigh.
Andrea Kane's Christmas read was good, you should get it, and it is a quick read.
It looks like you read a lot of great books. I still have to shop for my husband and son!
I loved Ladies Night! I still need to review it as it was last months book club read. As for shopping.. have not even started. :)
eeek can't believe how quickly December is flying. I have made a start on Christmas shopping but still have lots to do and more stuff to make. Next year I will not accept review books in December/January lol
Joshilyn Jackson is going on my read list for 2014 and I think I'd like Ladies Night. Have a great week and happy reading :)
I tried the audio of The Rosie Project and couldn't get into it. I think I will try to read it, the guy's voice was throwing me off I think in the audio. :)
I am not done shopping, but I am pretty close! I am not usually this prepared. Lol.
So when I read the Rosie Project, I think I was expecting something different. I don't know what, but I just don't know if I liked it or not.
Happy reading this week!!

I am not even close to being done, we have lots of shopping to do yet. Living dangerously I guess. :)
The Rosie Project sounds like a fun read.
Eeek, I didn't realize it was just 16 days to Christmas...I haven't bought a single gift! Whoopsie!!!
Lots of great books there Nise. I loved Ladies Night and want to read The Rosie Project.
The Rosie Project and Ladies Night are the two I'd like to read soon! enjoy the season and the shopping.
Hunting Eve and Just One Year both sounds great. Enjoy reading this week.
Take a look at what I'm reading this week.
I'm nowhere near done shopping either. The Rosie Project sounds good!
I'm interested to hear how Red Hill was on audio. I heard there were three different narrators which is probably a good thing. I'm not used to multiple narrators, but the POV switches probably required it. I hope you have a wonderful week!
Well yes indeed Christmas on the way, SOON. I'm only just beginning this week to get into things. My son had an important paper to write so we've been "quiet" this week. Great reading week for you. I'm checking out the Jackson book. And I love the idea of the social inept professor. Thanks Nise. Happy Christmas Preparation.
I hope to be reading The Rosie Project soon...I have it sitting on my stacks, waiting its turn.
Enjoy your week...and thanks for visiting my blog.
Loved the Rosie Project.
I need to read The Rosie Project!
So many great books. I want to read Ladies' Night. That one looks really good. Have a great week.
