How are you celebrating the end of 2013 and the beginning of 2014? I hope to ring in the New Year by reading! Thank you to Shelia for hosting this weekly meme.
Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:
Sea Creatures by Susanna Daniel
Georgia and Graham move back to Florida after her failed business and his sleep disorder disaster. They are both hoping for a new beginning. Georgia takes a job working for an eccentric artist that surprisingly brings benefits not only for her but for her young son. A beautifully written story of heartbreak, hope and healing.
The Girl Who Was Supposed to Die by April Henry
Cady wakes up to “Take her out back and finish her off.” She doesn't know who or why this is happening. She manages to escape and is on the run trying to figure it all out. An intense, quick read.
Champion by Marie Lu
The third book in the Legend trilogy. Day and June have worked together to change their world for the better. Each has sacrificed so much, but are called to even more sacrifice. Can their ideals survive? Will they? A good conclusion that was not a total disappointment.
Up Next:
The Dancing Master by Julie Klassen
Christmas Bliss by Mary Kay Andrews
The Splendour Falls by Susanna Kearsley

I hope to do the same Nise - I prefer to stay home on New Years.. it gets so crazy out there (I am pointing out my window right now...lol)
Ooohhh all three sound great!
I don't do New Year's Eve out either. I'd rather bringing it in with a book or a movie! It's safer. LOL Last time I went out for New Year's, it was for Y2K and it was... wild. Haha.
I will definitely go back a few books on the Eve series! I felt so lost! I can tell Hunting Eve is great but I love the back story and I need to know more about the other characters!
Happy reading!
I need to make the time to read Sea Creatures because I loved Daniel's other book - Stiltsville.
Sounds like a lot of us are going to read 'New Year in'. Really what better way for book lovers. Just saw the Mary Kay Andrews christmas book on someone else's blog so will be adding it to my wishlist.

I have been reading New Year's in for years. Too many amateur drinkers on the road for my taste! Come see my Monday Report here. Happy reading and happy new year!
You have a few good books lined up for New Year's Eve. The Dancing Master is one I have had my eye on.
Christmas Bliss and the Girl/Die one sound good.
Happy New Year Nise
I'm looking at the Kearsley book! I didn't even know of its existence until today!
I enjoyed Sea Creatures, too. The Mary Kay Andrews book looks tempting...enjoy the New Year, and thanks for visiting my blog.
Have a happy reading week!

Ooo The Spledour Falls sounds really good!
Happy New Year!
Enjoy your reading. Happy New Year
The reviews for Champion have made me nervous about starting the Legend series. I've really been on the fence about it even though it sounds like a great series. Happy New Year!
I was hoping for a quiet New Years Day but just found out my 18 month old granddaughter will be here for some of the day :) I can't refuse that.
Welcome Back to Apple Grove sounds really good. You have a great list of books coming up too. Enjoy and Happy New Year!

My It's Monday, What Are You Reading
I've heard good things about the Legend series, but have not read it yet. The April Henry book sounds intense too. Have a great New Year, after traveling all last week I think we're staying in too.
Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year.
Happy New Year, Nise! I've got the Kearsley book in my TBR pile. Sounds good!
Wishing you a very Healthy, Happy New Year, enjoy your read. I'm sure I'll be cooking up a storm in the New Year.
The title alone "The Girl Who Was Supposed to Die" kinda freaks me out and then the description only makes it worse!
Wishing for happy reading in 2014 :)
You can't go wrong with Mary Kay Andrews or Susanna Kearsley! Happy New Year!
