What Are You Reading?

Sheila at Book Journey hosts this weekly event where we celebrate what we are reading for the week as well as books completed the previous week.

Last week turned out to be fantastic for reading! Most of the books I read are for upcoming tours.

Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:

One Grave At A Time by Jeaniene Frost
How do you send a killer to the grave when he’s already dead? Book 6 in the series had a lot going on in it, almost too much.  The main conflict I had really no interest in, but because I love Cat and Bones, I continued.  I am sad that the next book is the last in the series, and felt this book set up the finale very well.

Getting Rowdy by Lori Foster
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book.  Page turning adventure/suspense and a romance that held my attention.

Born Wild by Julie Ann Walker
Someone is trying to kill Eve and no one believes her.  Her last resort is going to the person who wants to see her the least.  A wild ride!
Gabriel by Grace Burrowes
Gabriel returns home to take his rightful place a Marquis determined to find out who wants him dead. He thought he left behind the women he loved, but she turns up at his home. The characters are easy to love despite their flaws. Secrets abound, and it was a bit frustrating for this reader. The secondary story of Aaron and Marjorie was just as enjoyable.

Double Feature by Owen King (audio)
SAM DOLAN is a young man coming to terms with his life in the process and aftermath of making his first film.  Family saga that was entertaining and brilliantly narrated by Holter Graham.

Heiress Without A Cause by Sara Ramsey
A strong debut in the Muses of Mayfair series.  Lady Madeline risks her reputation to secretly act on the stage.   Ferguson, Duke of Rothwell, back from his exile asks her to chaperon his twin sisters' debuts. Regardless of his Rake status, she agrees. Soon after he discovers her secret and in order to protect her, her actress alter ego becomes his mistress.  What happens next makes for an enjoyable read.  I look forward to the next book.

Up Next:
Second Honeymoon by James Patterson
The Arrangement by Mary Balogh

I know Nise when you come to end of a series it is so sad! I must read it in awhile, as need to take a rest from paranormal now!
Have never tried Julie Ann Walker but heading over to Goodreads to make a note of it and also Getting Rowdy.
Agree with you on Gabriel.

It's hard to see a series end, but you seem to have so many other interesting books to read, so good for you! Enjoy the week.

I read (and enjoyed) two books from the Muses of Mayfair series. I don't usually read historical fiction, but these were delightful. Hope you enjoy all of your reads.
