But on the night of her boat-warming party the dream is shattered when a a body washes up beside the boat, and she recognises the victim. As the sanctuary of the boatyard is threatened, and her life is increasingly at risk, the story of how Genevieve came to be so out of her depth unfolds, and she learns the real cost of mixing business with pleasure.
I was blown away by the author's debut, Into The Darkest Corner. I set my expectations very high and was not sure what to expect. After I realized this was a very different story, I settled into it and enjoyed it. It is sort of a love story disguised with bad guys. I was waiting for something big to happen or a huge twist, and when it came, I almost missed it. Justine Eyre did a great job with the voices, tension as well as the change in tense. It took me a bit to figure out the "then" and "now" parts.

Not a thriller lover but my friend is
I don't usually like thrillers, but you are selling me on them. Thanks
I really like her previous book as well. Can't wait to read this one.
Hm. I'm felling iffy about this one. If it takes to much brain power I'm skipping it for now.
I'm not familiar with this author. I think I may need to read it!
