WOW! April sped by for me. It was a great week of reading for me. I had every intention of participating in Saturday's Read-A-Thon, but with it being 2 1/2 months to my daughter's wedding, things come up that we have to take care of, and it did this past weekend. Whew we were busy both Saturday and Sunday! I apologize for not being able to visit other Saturday Snapshot posts too!
Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:
The Death of Bees by Lisa O'Donnell
Marnie and Nelly's father has died in his bed and shortly thereafter, their mother kills herself. In fear of what will happen to them they bury them both in their backyard. Lennie the older gentlemen neighbor takes them in and cares for them. The story is told in their voices in alternating chapters. A bit hard to get used to, but soon becomes engrossing and a page turner of family dysfunction. Even though I saw the ending coming, I enjoyed the book.
The Imposter Bride by Nancy Richler
At the end of WWII Lily comes to Canada to marry Sol Kramer. Sol takes one look at her and says no. His brother, Nathan steps in and marries her. Lily is not who she claims and later disappears when her daughter is 3 months old. This is the story of that family in the aftermath of her disappearance. We learn not only how and why Lily did what she did but how her daughter and family copes with her disappearance.
I also read:
A Duke's Promise by Jamie Carie
Naked by Raine Miller (5/8)
All In By Raine Miller (5/8)
It Happened At The Fair by Deanne Gist (5/3)
Book Thoughts Posted:
The Summer He Came Home by Julianna Stone
A Duke's Promise by Jamie Carie
Those We Love Most by Lee Woodruff
Up Next:
Against The Tide by Elizabeth Camden
The Mystery Woman by Amanda Quick
Bite Me, Your Grace by Brooklyn Ann

Death Of Bees looks good! I think there were a few people that had to pass on the read a thon due to commitments... for me it was the first nice day in Minnesota of the year! I still participated but ooh he outside was calling me ;)
I enjoyed Those We Love Most....and you're right that Death of Bees is different.
I'm curious about The Imposter Bride.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I am curious about Bite me Your Grace! such an intriguing title.
I think a friend of mine recommended The Death of Bees to me. It does sound interesting! And, I can't believe April is almost over as well!
You know me, love stories about family dysfunction, The Death of Bees is calling my name lol
Too bad you didn't get to do the readathon but wedding preparations definitely win! Have another great week and happy reading :)
The Imposter Bride looks good :D
Both Killer Bees, The Imposter Bride and A Duke's Promise seem to be my kind of books. Great list - with more to add to my own TBR.
Here's my Monday post for this week.
Happy reading.
I enjoyed the unique style of the Death of Bees, sort of no filter stream of consciousness deal! The Imposter Bride sounds good - does it have a happy ending?
Some good reading there, The Death Of Bees is on my wishlist as it sounds intriguing. Happy reading this week!

I was at a wedding Saturday, so I couldn't participate either. So close to your daughter's wedding, it will fly! You are in the home stretch!
Have a great week!
You certainly had more exciting things to do than visit us on Saturday, we'll want to see pictures. I'm curious about both the books you enjoyed and reviewed. Have a good week.
Great mini-reviews....I think I want to read both of those!! You had a great week!
The Death of Bees sounds intense in the kind of way I really like. I'm hoping to get to Against the Tide one of these days soon.
Good luck with the wedding planning!
Sounds like it's getting down to crunch time with the wedding! Good luck! I like the cover of The Death of Bees. Enjoy your week!
The Death of Bees sounds good even if it is predictable. I hope you have a good week!
The Death of Bees does sound sad and The Imposter Bride seems a good story. Enjoy!
Those books look good, I will have to check them out. :)

The Imposter Bride sounds interesting. It's so strange to think of just showing up to marry someone you have never met!
I hope everything goes well with the rest of the wedding planning! :)
You are definitely hitting the crazy wedding time! Good luck.
I knew I wanted to read the first one and now you have me curious about the second. So mysterious.
Death of Bees sounds strange but then so does Imposter Bride but in a different way. Looks like you are enjoying good reading.
