I was so careful not to mention the fact that while everyone around me was getting sick, I had not succumbed. That is no longer true, I have been sick all week with a cough.
Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:
Seating Arrangements by Maggie Shipstead
The VanMeter family is gathered at their summer home for the shotgun wedding of Daphne. This a delightful debut told mostly in the voice of Winn, father of the bride. There is just enough family dysfunction, ill-behaving wealthy adults to draw me into all the drama going on over the weekend. I look forward to more from this author.
Blessed Are Those Who Thirst by Anne Holt
Second book in the Hanne Wilhelmsen series. Hanne has a strange case of a blood soaked shed, numbers written in blood on the wall with no body anywhere to be found when a rape case lands on her desk. The investigation stalls, another bloody scene with no body turns up. She is determined and methodically investigates. I love this character and am glad these books found their way to the US.
I am getting close to finishing 3 audios. I have a couple waiting patiently for their turn!

Just One Day by Gayle Forman
If You Give A Rake A Ruby by Shanna Galen

HELP! Blogger is giving me fits with my colored text box (above). It keeps changing the HTML code and I lose the colored box, but the text stays. I am looking for HTML for an easily used colored text box, any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Hope you feel better soon...and I have no knowledge of how to do the colored box on Blogger....I'd love to learn that, too, since I still have two Blogger sites.

Aw, hope you feel better. Seating Arrangements looks like a fun, family drama. Visiting from It's Monday! What are you Reading? Hope rest and reading cures what ails you this week.
I gave up on Blogger almost 2 years ago. Wordpress is so much easier but I know it is hard to make the switch.
I hope you feel better real soon.
Sorry that I can't help with the html :/
I hope you feel better soon! It's so frustrating to feel like someone in the family gets better only for someone else to bring something home! Take it easy and I hope you enjoy your reads this week. :)
Both of those books sound good to me.
Seating Arrangements sounds great ... and so does the Anne Holt book. Hope you are feeling better soon.
You've been having a rough time, I do hope you're on the mend soon Nise. I'm a blogger girl but always wondered how to do those coloured boxes. I'll ask my son and get back to you.
I want to try Anne Holt, have heard great things and read good reviews, I may try soon.
