What Are You Reading?

Sheila at Book Journey hosts this weekly event where we celebrate what we are reading for the week as well as books completed the previous week.

It seems that my reading has slowed to a halt, but I  managed to read 3 books last week.  My audio listening has definitely suffered, and I need to remedy that asap!  We are expecting our first major snow storm of the season today and tomorrow, so it could be a couple of days to read, read and listen!

Thoughts on the Books I Read Last Week:

These Girls by Sarah Pekkanen
Three girls living in New York become roommates and help each other navigate what they face every day, what has hurt them as well as looking forward the future. Funny, touching with sympathetic characters. Another great read by Sarah. This is more than chick lit!

Ask The Passengers by A.S. King
Astrid is a senior in high school would love someone she can confide in honestly and without any judgment.   She is sure her parents and sister will never understand and accept. So she lays on her picnic table and sends her love to the passengers on planes that are flying overhead.  Another wonderful book by this author.  Whether or not you agree with the subject matter, you will be touched by Astrid, her family and friends.

Also Read:
Love Finds You In Glacier Bay, Alaska by Goyer and Fleiss (tour 2/1)

Reading:
Tell The Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt

Listening To:
The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty (Elizabeth McGovern)
Tigers in Red Weather by Liz Klaussmann (Katherine Kellgren)
Seating Arrangements by Maggie Shipstead (Arthur Morey)

Up Next:
Shattered by Dani Pettrey

I'm, ecstatic when I read 3 books lol but last few weeks I've only read 2. I haven't read anything by Sarah Pekkanen but I do have a review book coming up next month, she seems to be popular. Looking forward to your thoughts on The Chaperone.

Glad you're health is getting sorted and you know what you have to work on. Have a good week & happy reading

My reading has slowed down too. I think it's been a week since I last finished something.

I plan to make 2013 my year of reading from my own bookshelves. Please come see what I'm currently reading.

We had a light dusting of snow but it is really cold and windy. Still great reading weather as I am trying to kick the flu bug out of the house.

Happy Listening!!!
