Fall is here already- whether we are ready for it or not! I am always sad to say goodbye to summer, but I do love sweaters and hot chocolate. I plowed through some review books last week which helps the commitment pile get shorter!
Books Read Last Week:
Gold by Chris Cleave (audio)
Zoe and Kate are friends and competitors for gold in cyclying. They are connected in more than one way, as their pasts are woven into the present I went through many different emotions. Sophie was awesome and I feared for her until the very end. Brilliantly narrated by Emilia Fox.
Review Books Read:
The Shadowy Horses by Susanna Kearsley (10/10) loved it
Night Watch by Linda Fairstein (10/19) excellent crime novel with NY history
Double Blind by Brandilyn Collins (10/20) page turning suspense
A cold caught me earlier in the week and it slowed down my reading. I am feeling better and hope this week gives me more reading time!
Listening to: Stay Close by Harlan Coben narrated by the dreamy voiced Scott Brick on the iPod and just about finished listening to Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin narrated by Roy Dotrice in the car.
Up Next:
The Breakthrough by Jerry B. Jenkins
The Trouble With Highlanders by Mary WIne
The Serpent's Bite by Warren Alder
Don't forget to check out Stacy's Quiz Tuesday!

Happy Reading this week.
I am not ready for cold or hot cocoa... I want more sun :) I need to listen to Stay Close.
I'm curious about the Brandilyn Collins book. I enjoyed one of her others....
Have a great week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
Gold seems like a great way to extend the Olympics!
Fun reading!! So many books! I wrote a short story that I called The Shadow Horses... I should've checked to see if someone had that title already! So many things to think of!
A good audio narrator is GOLDEN!
My favorite book this week was Tuesdays at the Castle by Jessica Day George. Please come see what I'm reading now.
Glad you are feeling better. I liked the Kearsley book myself.
A slow week for you is a great week for anyone else. I hope you're feeling better now.
I loved the setting for The Shadowy Horses! Great characters too.
I may have to check into your NY crime one. Thanks for visiting my Monday post.
I haven't read any of those, so I'll have to check them out, and yeah, when I'm sick, I can't concentrate on my reading, too, especially when I cough a lot :(
Happy reading & have a great week!
Ooh, I'd love to know how the George R.R. Martin books are on audio.

Hooray for sweaters and hot chocolate!
I've read one Brandilyn Collins book, and it was good enough to make me want to read another. Maybe Double Blind should be on my TBR :-)
Glad to hear you're feeling better and that you got through some review books. I've been good about reading but bad about reviewing! Have a good week!
