Books Read Last Week:
Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
2 Bears
I was not a riveted to theses pages as I was to the first book, Delirium. I was waiting for something to happen that didn't until the very last line of the book. While we do meet some new and interesting characters, I was underwhelmed with this book, not to say I did not like it, but definitely looking forward to the next installment. The Impossible Dead by Ian Rankin
3 Bears
Malcom Fox is a not a well liked because he investigates his follow law enforcement officers. I read the first book in the series because it was a Regan Arthur book and knew I had found another author to add to my ever growing favorite list. I love the investigative process of Malcom and his team. He sees more to this investigation and won't let it go, and as mystery unravels I was glued to the pages. The List by Sibohan Vivian
2 Bears
This is one of those YA reads that will resonate with it's target audience. It was too "teenagery" for me. I just wanted to smack them all for their behavior. The Highlander's Touch by Karen Maire Moning
3 Bears
After loving the Fever series, I wanted to give her other books a try. I chose to listen to this book because it was narrated by Phil Gigante. He is so awesome! I'd listen to him read the phone book in that lovely brogue! The book was enjoyable, but no where near as wonderful as the Fever books.
Midnight in Austenland by Shannon Hale
3 Bears
Charlotte, recently divorced, takes a 2 week Austen themed trip after finding her "bucket" list at her mothers. A bit numb and out of sorts, she is easy to relate to and you struggle with her as she finds herself. Fun, humorous, and just as delightful as Austenland.
White Horse by Alex Adams
3 Bears
A strong, adult dystopian debut. Zoe's story is told to us in "Now and Then" segments. Even though all seems so hopeless, you can't help but turn the pages rooting for her as she navigates her way through a world where a virus has killed 90% of the people and the survivors are genetically altered. Also finished:
More Than Words Can Say by Robert Barclay (audio) 5/18
Listenting to:
Catch Me by Lisa Gardner (Kirsten Potter)
What Doesn't Kill You by Iris Johansen (Jennifer Van Dyck)
Defending Jacob by William Landay (Grover Gardner)
Up Next:
The Messeneger by Siri Mitchell

I thought THE LIST was an exaggeration of teens flakiness but it was a fun read. There were only two teens in the book I liked.
The Shannon Hale book is the one I would love to read!
I have the Midnight in Austenland on my TBR pile waiting to be read. You were a busy reader again this week.
Shame Pandemonium is a bit of a disappointment, I loved Delirium. White Horse caught my eye, it sounds like one I'd enjoy.
Have a great week and happy reading :)
The List sounds interesting... occasionally I like a character I want to smack...LOL (Ummm.... Home Front).
Have a super day!
I loved reading your comments on these books! The books are new to me but some of them look like fun.
"I just wanted to smack them" I know what you mean, sometimes don't you just want to call the author and say, smack those goofs. Thanks for a great list, hope your Mother's Day was splendid.
I read The Highlander's Touch last week and enjoyed it. Those Highlanders are so sexy!
Hope you enjoy your reads for the week.

Probably one of the reasons why I don't often read YA...I want to smack them a lot! lol
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
I hope you read some five star books this week!
I loved Catch Me - I read it, but listened to some of the earlier books in that series.
Have a great week!

Midnight in Austenland was good.
You seemed to have had a good week!!
Awesome list of books :D
I do wanna read pandemonium
I LOVED Defending Jacob; I can only imagine how amazing the audio must be.
I love your reaction to The List! I think that's why I don't read YA, although I know a lot of it isn't like that. White Horse sounds very intriguing. I think I'll add that one to my list! Have a good week!
The Impossible Dead sounds like one to add to my wish list.
Have a great week!!
White Horse is getting some great reviews.
Have a great reading week!

Too bad about The List. I've been wanting to read that one. And I need to hurry up and read White Horse. It's on my shelf, giving me the stink eye.
I have the first Fever book on my audio list. I've almost downloaded it a few times, but something else always catches my attention. I'll get to it soon now! I'll listen to Midnight in Austenland as well. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the first book. Enjoy your week!
YOu make me want to try that audio so I can melt to his voice!! Great reviews too. I may try Rankin..sound interesting to me.
I just read my first Shannon Hale. Now I'm curious about Austenland.
